Whats missing in Crescent Reach?

while not a vendor item, the lack of anything that drops spider silk is a potential problem for drakin trying to make cultural silk armor. so far, i have only found spiderling silk in Cresent, no spiders in the Moors, and level 40ish spiders in Mesa. I understand there are lots of places that you can get spider silk easy enough. but i figured since it has been stated that they wanted this to be a stand alone expansion, something needs to drop silk that a 20ish level character can fight.

Spider silk drops quite a lot in the steppes (esp when you wantr Wasp Spider Silks, sigh) and probably drops in Gorukar mesa, as well.

Plus anyone who owns TSS also gets access to classic eq zones, ex: the commonlands....

Unfortunately I am not allowed to add spiders to the zones just to make it easier, and the spiders in that zone are not of the appropriate level to drop silk

Spider silk <snippage occurred> probably drops in Gorukar mesa, as well.

It does.. but when I want Spider silk, the best place for it is still EK.
Goru'Kar mesa I can get a stack or 3 per hour.. EK, 5-7 stacks.

EK = Spider Silk farmage, I agree..
Theres the spot known simply as "The Hill" on bertox that is godlike for the silks :P
Its the huge.. hill (if you were wondering how it got its name, thats how :P)..covered in spiders, cats, the occasional Hill giant etc etc..

Quite easy to train every mob on the hill and wipe it out in a few seconds, and have respawns around the time you finish looting

The Hill seems to be a good area for HQ cat pelts as well, as I believe every 3 stacks or so of Spider Silk I had, I got about 10 HQ cat pelts..
