Someone was asking the usual "is it worth it" thread (there's a dead horse candidate if it's not up there yet) but it got me thinking about the trophy and I suddenly realised that it would be a wonderful idea (IMHO) to use it while advertising my whares.
After all, we are conditioned to associate skill with better products, so it makes sense that conditioning will at the very least subconciously affect us when making a purchase in the game.
Thus, if you see two folks advertising product X and one of them is pointing out that he's got the GM trophy, sells only the highest quality X, etc, you might be more likely to purchase from him - you might tell yourself that you're only doing it because you appreciate his clever sales pitch or some nonsense like that, but you never know if your mind is actually influencing you on that perceived quality point.
So what do you think, do you do it, are you going to do it, do you already do it and if so, has it had any effect - real or imagined?
