Tell me which earring you have, and I will tell you how to get the next one.

I have the Runed Signet. As far as I can tell, without the RZ flag, there's no way to get the Field Satchel in which you combine the 3 Bristlebane's Party Platters and the Runed Signet.

And I spent 6 months getting cleric and chanter full elemental flagged last year so they could try this quest. /sigh

Well, my vote would be keep the flag requirements, but make the Hope Stone tradeable and increase the drop rate. On my server at least, there are still many mid-level guilds that use PoP as their standard raid practice, but they seem to move on to GoD soon after they get the team elemental flagged. Not so hard to get flagged, but nearly impossible to find anyone to group with in the Elemental Planes

Ah hmmm, I see what you mean.

I am sure you have told him you are a master chef, and that your baking skill is > 220, and he just does not respond eh? If so I must stand corrected...

          first time for everything!

Heh, yeah. He responds with something about me needing to be more experienced in the planes or something. So, yes, you can do some steps without the flags "required" for that step...but only if he doesn't give you anything used in that step.

For instance, as long as you've completed everything UP TO the tailoring part, you can do the tailoring and then fletching parts without needing the flags...because he doesn't give you anything for those parts, you just do the hand-ins and it works fine.

But, if he gives you anything for the combine (like the baking part, for instance), then you NEED the flag to proceed.

Are you sure about this? I'm missing my sol ro kill, and hence fire access. I've already done the tailoring combine, but haven't turned it in due to not having my flag. Stuff has been sitting around in my bank for a while.

You are saying I can turn in the tailored item and get the next signet? Can I then do the bow combine and turn in and not have any problems? This has been done? =)

Edit: You know, I don't foresee myself ever getting my sol ro kill. I may as well just try it. Will later tonight or tomorrow.

I only have 1 Sol Ro Mini, no Sol Ro, no TZ, VZ, or RZ...and I have the Fletching part done and turned in. So, yeah. Pretty sure.

Just to be clear...he still will tell you you need more experience for the next part...just ignore him and do the turn-in.

I've had all the flags for some time, then after my guild collapsed about a year ago, got hooked again on tradeskills. This quest is my goal, but I get distracted every once in a while with hitting 300 in a skill. /bonk Ozadar. Pushing for 1700 Club and that earring which would be a welcome addition to my shawl.

I hope they nerf a few of the flags since not many guilds raid the planes any more. We shall see.

I went ahead and did my turn-ins as far as I could, and this is what I found: You can complete the entire quest if you have every flag up to elemental acces, minus Sol Ro. Sol Ro is the only flag I am missing for complete elemental access. I had the tailoring combine done sometime ago, and turned it in and received the next signet. Then I went and did the bow combine, and received the next signet on turn-in of the bow. I then figured I was stuck, but when I said I was a master baker, he gave me the satchel! (The quest write up does say you only need rallow zek killl, and it appears to be correct =) I combined 3 of my BPP's and the signet and got the next to the last signet. All I need is a hope stone, which the councilman said he'd be happy to take along with my signet. Now, one day down the road, I'll be refilling my regura claw stash and a hope stone will hopefully drop to be able to finish this.

Anyhow, Sol Rol probably is the harder of the elemental planes flags just because you need the 5 mini's to boot if you can't get a piggy back in for the sol ro kill & flag (though the mini's are fairly one groupable).

You can be piggied into sol ro's chamber without having killed the minis. Standard piggy rules are in effect now. It used to be that once you got piggied up as long as you had zone access you would not get booted, but that was changed about 2 years ago.

Actually Hope Stone can be MQ'd for Grimel too. The person doing the MQ must also have all his tradeskills at 220+ though.

I'm 99% sure you can't MQ the Hope Stone. The Councilman will return the Hope Stone saying you have to turn in all the items for this quest at once. I believe this was the first quest that had the anti-MQ code; it later became standard for many other such quests.
