I had another thought while doing one of the Tradeskill Trophies. With the previous Trophy you had multiple sub-combines that involved several different skills, making it essential you had a high level of skill (or friend with high skill) in order to make the seal and do the final combine.
If you have a 60% chance to make something, you can hope the RNG will bestow its blessings on you and you will have nifty item. I made my first Trueshot Bow at 78. Did I deserve a Trueshot? No, I was just lucky and too dim to figure out what the likelihood of failure was.
Perhaps if the final combines for better items had multiple sub-combines that would be daunting to the better informed, we could see the benefits of having a high skill rather than just hope for luck with the RNG.
I am open to criticism and suggestions on this one.
P.S. the current score is Thoughts: 2 Boredom: 0
