  • Ground spawn

I spent a bit of time running around Elddar Forest looking for ground spawn.
There seems to be quite a bit there although not a lot of variety. Seems to be a bit buggy too.
Pomegranete and green apples for the most part with a few treant branches for the rares.

Pomegranetes look like a black and grey striped rock and can be seen for a good distance away.
Green apples look like a bright green diamond.
Treant branches look like a cracked staff or fine steel staff laying on the ground.

The buggy part was positioning. Sometimes they are easy to see, laying on the ground, sometimes not.

Sometimes they look like they are buried in the dirt with just a tiny sliver exposed. (some logic to this, but i suspect there are also some buried beneath the surface that will never be seen until we get a dig function)
And I've seen a few that appeared to be floating in the air. (waist high to an elf). At that point I was tempted to start looking up in the trees. But these are "ground" spawn, not air spawn.

I suspect also that some are hidden within the trees. It shouldn't happen, but if the mobs can get inside the trees, the ground spawn can. The trees are huge and the mobs do not respect their boundries. I've seen it before many times showing just enough of the mob to know it's there. Funny to see the tip of a pegasus wing poking out the side of a tree. Aggrivating to know that the mobs / drops are sometimes there but out of reach.

The branches also drop off the wandering treants in Ruins of Takish-Hiz. I got the dry branches off the normal ones and the straight treant branches off the moaning ones.

Have only seen dry & straight oak treant branches off the treants in Tak. If they drop the straight treant branch, it must be extremely rare. So far have only seen these as ground spawns in Elddar Forest. Have only killed treants in Tak.

I found a straight as ground spawn in the northern part of the forest where many treants roamed. I haven't been there for a while so I don't know if it drops there or if I got lucky that time.

I don't know if it was coincidence or not, but I've found several of the fruits (pomagranates & apples) right between the feet (roots) of some of the wandering treants. Similarly, I picked up a fallen branch and very soon after, a treant pathed to the same spot and stood there for a while. I have also seen branches inside the hallowed log where I've not seen anything (apart from players) wander inside.

I have spent a fair bit of time in this zone looking for branches. Few things I have noticed..
All of the branches I have found are West of zone in and NW area (round large log). 10 branches is the best I have done in circuit but pretty sure there is more as I have picked up branches in areas ( always the same 'area') after patch then they never appear again until next patch. (respawn underground maybe? or meant to be this way? Area west of zone in (where it dips into a hollow).
The others I have found (log ones) have a 6-8hr respawn time.
I'm sure there are more than 10 branches as ground spawns but between competing with others to get them it's hard to know how many there are exactly. Time will tell.
