This is entirely unconfirmed but someone said Chronal Stone (and maybe Discordant?) had dropped in one of the PoR zones.

It dropped from a PoR raid, but I'm not sure which one.

It dropped off Zomm, I know, I was there.

Also saw one drop off Zomm last night.

Too bad the cost to turn it into an augment is too high for the value of the item it makes

I think I had one drop off of a normal Ragepaw in Undershore. Was killing them for the Belfast Quest for collecting Skins, Hairs, Teeth and Claws. I don't think it was off the named (The Nightcrier) that spawns there.... Just a random rare drop. Had a couple other random rare drops along the way too.

I haven't done Zomm yet, but isn't Zomm event harder than Leviathan which drops Discordant? Leviathan is pretty easy all in all. It's just obtaining the ability to request the event that is any challenge.

Having Zomm drop chronal is ridiculous. Its a reasonably difficult mob requiring raid geared groups with high resists. of course, it drops flags for progression so it will get killed often but seriously I would think it qualified for a bazu stone.

Yes Zomm does drop Chronal stones and Bazu would be much more in line with his dificulty. Anybody who can kill Zomm can gear their alts much better than with Chronal stones, though who'd spend a min of 18k on the ts items to make an AAAA to use with a Chronal stone in the first place is beyond me so...

I'd say it would be people that bought Radiant Crystals for 300pp each for 50 or 55 hp OR mana augs when DoN first came out.

Or the people that would pay 150-200k on a peice of armor that could use a Chronal.

Or, me.

I 100% agree the effects are not the best, but they are hands down better than any other aug that you can buy for that slot - and cheaper.

I'm in much the same boat as you, filobeto - I'm not uber by any stretch, but I have a reasonable amount of plat. I'd gladly blow it on an AAAA even for a lousy old Chronal stone.

What I mean by that is that I'd blow my plat on whatever was available. 200k on a Chronal Stone aug makes a lot more sense than 250-300k on an OOW aug. It's just unfortunate that the Chronal's are practically unavailable. The fact that they only appear to drop off Zomm is madness, and I feel like I've had sand kicked in my face. It's akin to SOE increasing the droprate of Coarse Spider Silk... but having it drop off kickass_raid_mob_01.

I quite agree with Lemeril's suggestion in the other thread ( http://mboards.eqtraders.com/eq/showthread.php?t=24441) on this subject, that Chronal Stones drop from one-group content.

I'm inclined to cross post just to chime in again and say I agree, 100%. Chronal stones should not be raid drops and it really saddens me that they went that direction with them...not to mention the fact that they were supposed to be part of the DOD expansion but now they suddenly appear in POR?

This gives me double sad face...

The chronal stone we looted off Zomm is currently sitting in our guild bank, alongside a discordant stone and a bazu stone. Heck, I think I even saw a last blood in there, but I'm guessing someone will snap that up soonish.
