Thank you Ngreth for the clear up. I want to clear a few things up though.
At 60 Shissar scales are not easy to come buy. And also, in a group I have actually obtained 10 Bazu Bloods in an hour so your comparison is wrong. For magnetic, I have to agree, but then again we are not comparing apples to apples here.
Cultural armor is not the same as OOW tradeskilled armor. I have to agree it was put there for a purpose and part of the purpose at least as far as I can see was to close that gap.
Cultural armor is not supposed to be unobtainable or overly difficult. Right now with the amount of races and symbols using shissar scales in my opinion they are where all cultural armor itself should be.
Now, know one said it all should be easy to obtain but I have to agree the drop rate on crushed diamond dust is insane and this does need corrected.
I don't mind if the drop for master's armor is changed for Vah Shir as long as we don't end up in a situation like we are now for any races. I don't want to find out that Half Elf cultural (i.e. my main whom I'm working smithing on) and froglok are now something easily obtainable but the Vah Shir armor is now something on par with great reptile tooth.
This is where my worry comes in. So far everytime I've seen a tradeskill item supposedly "fixed" they break a different one. I'm not saying Ngreth will do this but it's like the crushed diamond dust. It get's made usable by a good tradeskill item and suddenly the drop rate diminishes. Let's say Ngreth changes Vah Shir Tailored armor to something that is dropping reasonably and then another dev steps in not realizing he had done it and lowers the drop rate on it because something else needs to replace that drop to increase it.
Walla, problem again. Take the Crystalized Sulfur. I never saw it drop in Velks until after they increased the drop rate, so what drop did this replace on these mobs?
If you follow what I'm getting at here you understand why a change to something that is working worries me.
