We will Likely (not guranteed) but likely add slots to the charm. Slot 1 on first blush, probably others too.

Not having any luck on the GM charm..... sounds like it would use Luminescent Lichen (TS tagged, no other known use for it) but not combining in multiple combine varieties...

I made Expert's Charm of Mental Tradition, you do need to have 2 unfired Expert's Charms with the other 3 components to make the combine, but on a successful combine you yield 2 Expert's Charm of Mental Tradition.

I equipped it to see the stats, but nothing came up, guessing that it's true that you have to be wearing other cultural armor for it to get better.

          Here's the info on it.

          Expert's Charm of Mental Tradition
          ATTUNEABLE
          SLOT: CHARM
          WT: 0.1 Size: SMALL
          Class: NEC,WIZ, MAG, ENC
          Race: HIE

I have just created the expert version for Halfling Hybrids (Ranger and Paladin only basically), and since it didn't have a required level, and that the journeyman are bugged, I put it on my level 15 Halfling Paladin. He has everything but one bracer and boots equiped of journeyman.

As previously stated, the combines are correct and it did produce 2. I had skilled my Halfling's pottery up to 156 today to try these out, and this trivials at 222 I believe.

Don't recall the exact name at the moment, but I believe I can remember the stats.

            2 AC, +1 STR/DEX/AGI/WIS/INT, +2 STA, +15 HP, +13 Mana, +1 to each save.

Again, my Pally had all but the boots and one bracer, he is lvl 15 with an Expert aug. I have no idea what dictates the stats he receives. Seem somewhat low to me.

Well tried a GM symbol without fungus. DNC. Oh well. It's not on Lucy, linkbot, barter, or anywhere so it's either a result from another combine or not in the game. Guess we wait another patch!

Ahh, I'm ok with 2 unfired if the yield is 2 =) Actually, that's very nice of them.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but what I got from the in game book was that you need both a leather and a silk swatch and a bar if your race has leather and silk classes. Then, the book goes on to say that you need an unfired charm for each swatch and bar, meaning three unfired charms if your race has leather and silk classes.

If I'm wrong on any of this, does this mean:

                  1) I can use either a leather or a silk swatch?

                  2) I have to use both a leather and a silk swatch, but I only need two unfired charms for the final combine?

And if I'm right, does that mean that I would get three final charms, since the recipes that use two unfired seem to get two final charms?

Looks to me as if you're right... also, it makes sense... the essence from each of the metal/swatch parts will imbue one charm... if you have to mix essences due to having multiple armor types available...you end up with extra essence, requiring an extra unfired charm to absorb it.

Oy vey. Does this mean that humans and iksar have to make four at a time and use one swatch/bar/sheet of each type of armor?

No, I think just three. Bars=chain and plate since all you do for plate is add water to a bar to make a sheet. Plus the book says 1 to 3 components. I'm also guessing it'll be a 384 trivial like the BP since the Master one has a Master BP trivial.

I am a bit confused. Exactly how do you get the pattern for the charm? I have all the books from journeyman to grandmaster. What do I combine with this and in what container do I combine to get the pattern? Thanks in advance.

Make a bag of GM symbols like you normally would. Now instead of just GM armor symbol patterns, it also includes a symbol pattern stack.

Thanks for the quick answer. So, that means now it brings up two bags full of patterns? One for augments and one for charms? Does that mean I have to have two slots open for the combines? I am still confused.

The bag that you get is a 10 slot bag, there's still room for the charms patterns in there, previously there were 2 empty slots in the backpack.
