    • The PS Frame and Cover are comin up as only 151 trivials not the 171 as quoted in the recipe atm. Just a heads up.

      • Is all the high quality ore still limited stock on only those vendors? If I recall correctly you have to do some silly quest farming stuff off low level gobblins to restock them. From the looks of things you need ALOT of high quality ore.

        • You need about 2 vendors worth of large bricks (or blocks, but that costs slightly more). Of course this pales next to the thousand gnomish heatsources you will use.

I was initially annoyed at the limited stocking, but SOE has compensated this by crashing the servers every 6-12 hours since last patch

              • Im curious, on average, how long does it take you to build the box from scratch.

With all the sub-combines, especially the metal, I am taking about 200 minutes. ( i am including all the running around to restock metal or heat sources. I even bound a druid in abysmal at the seller to make life easier). My time cost has gone down as my attempts have gone up. Currently 6/8 on the trivial final combine with lots of fails on the subs.

                How about you?

                -------------------------------------------------------------------------

As for farming, here are some facts with out the benefit of sufficent sampling to rule out statistical anomalies.

Shadowmane pelts 0.7 pelts an hour
                Gargoyle Dusk 8/hour
                Clockwork Gnome Bolts 0.4/hour
                Witheran Bile 1.5/hour
                Sporali Skin 5/hour

                • Price wise these come in around 40k including a moderate amount of failures with a tinker about 283ish.

The more I make in one batch the quicker I can do them, if I'm just doing one I can get it together in about an hour, my current record is 4 in 90 minutes. I do use extra characters however to cut down on time by doing things like running a bot to hold heat sources and hitting combine on the forge with 2 characters at a time. I suspect if I did the smithing in abysmal and prebought all the carbon powder I could get the time down alittle more.

For the final combine I'm 26/27, sub failures have gone down tremendously as well, started making these with a tinkerer who was only 240 skill, since then hes reached 300 and the difference is well... huge as you would expect.

i could probably make them a bit more if i had a more abundant supply of pelts.

                      • Ima moron - to help out our guild gnomer I went out to make 8 of these - /snicker bought out all the refined ore on all 4 vendors. 900 LBoHQSteel and i was still short a few blocks for 8 AAAA without a chance for a failure.

Leaving out bazaar costs on some items like Clockwork Gnome Bolts n Shadowmane Pelts (on Nameless getting up to 20k atm for the Burin n Pelts)... I estimated a cost of about 19.1k to make - give or take a lil cause of buying some of the clockwork parts from bazaar. About 90% though is the cost of the blocks (averaging the cost for cutting down Blocks of Refined n Smelting Small Brick for more large ones) one block of high quality steel works out to be about 333p 8g 5s 7c. The most expensive item to make is the ADP costing about 6081p, the PG SG AG about 1850p to 1950p, the PAC 4675p, the PAF 1335p, and the SMR about 1135p. Estimate the ADPFP to be 531- the PGC 1335p - the indicators = red 801p blue 932p green 684p clear 880p - indicator casing 670p.

Some of these are going to be different if you farm all the materials - but least gives you a "costing" for failures n such. Hope it helps a lil - sorry its so messy wanted to post it but hate having to type essays I was more into maths .

Seen a few in Nameless for 100k in bazaar - heard a few sold at 70k but they arent worth the effort - can make tons of GM stuff heaps faster. As for the augs - only seen Bazu and Last Blood droppin on our server - and there are only 4 guilds really getting Bazu n only 2 in Demiplane - does not make for a huge market to sell to. So in conclusion (english teacher said always wind it up properly) the 8 AAAA are now going to guildies n not worth the effort to sell imo.

GL though hope this helps some

                        • I wish CT had more GM gnome tinkerer's then. We've got apparently 1 person making and selling the aaaa's. He's asking 400k for em. I still think these things are a bit rediculous in the number of combines needed, number of drops needed and the use of ore that is limited stock on vendors for a container that is used up on combine.

If they want it to be a money sink just drop the number of combines needed add some new vendor components and charge lots of plat for em. Heck just making the HQ steel sheet vendor buyable would help the annoyance factor greatly.

I've started making 2/3 at a time as well. I started making these when my nome hit 260. I got several failures sometimes on each part. I got to 282 with cams today, so I'm 296 with geerlok. I noticed a big reduction in my failures. Not sure what that means since I'm not 300. But I made two tonight with only one failure on a mechanoinstruction reader. Thats pretty **** good considering I was failing several times on other parts.

So I'd say the difference has got to definately be huge

                            • well looks like i wont be making any of these due to the extreme expense of the final product as well as the fact that it uses yet another raid drop. disappointing to say the least im afraid.

So now that servers are patched, the Mechanointsruction reader recipe above now works?

And the recipe for the holepoker is this?
