AFAIK, there currently are not recipes for taelsoian wheat.

At the Fan Faire, one of the devs said they were working on recipes that would use Taelosian (Mountain) Wheat. When (if) these recipes go live, it would be neat to have a book that *hints* at the recipes, allowing players to figure it out themselves. After a couple of months, the full list of recipes could be released.

It's been a long time since we had an "Easter egg hunt" for new recipes -- not since Aid Grimel and the recently-solved Karana's Heartfruit Salad, I don't think, and both were PoP-era recipes. I have this niggling feeling I forgot some, though...

that is my biggest compliant against expansions. the odl content is never fixed/reviewed before adding new content. if the old is fixed first we could go back and foola round with it then not take som much time on the current

Sony's stated goal with expansions is to have a box on store shelves most of the time. If they don't do this, they don't get new players and we run out of newbies to mock. Depending on the retailer, an entertainment software title will hit the bargain bin within 1-6 months and disappear soon after. So they're pretty much forced to release a new expansion on a regular basis.

However, nothing in that logic says they have to charge existing players for expansions. Personally, I think they should give existing players at least one free expansion per year. From a customer relations stand point, it would do a lot to reduce any suspicious that they're just cranking out expansions to supplement the monthly fees with no regard to quality. A whole lot of people would still buy the expansion for the physical documentation, in-box stuff and free in-game gadget.

Heck, we might get an expansion that consists of nothing but upgrades and fixes to old content.
I tried combining Celestial Solvent, a Raw Rough Hide, Rough Hide Solution and a Skinning Knife. But the result was such an oxymoron, it opened a rift into another universe. I fell through into one of Nodyin's spreadsheets and was slain by a misplaced decimal.

I don't know about once a year, but they should at least release Kunark and Velious to everyone, and consider it part of the "base game" so that they can expand the area where they are putting expansions in. LDoN could have been much cooler if there were zones in Velious and Kunark (and Luclin for that matter as well.) I also wish they'd drop the whole, "each expansion must be totally independent from every other" philosophy they have so they have a little more flexibility to do things.

i don't know about expanding the base game, would make alot of ppl that ahd to buy it pissed off i'm sure. the base is fine as is i think but the problems from each expansion need to be addressed before the release fo new ones. delay the expansion one month and fix an older one

                    Uh...

If you buy "EQ Gold" or "Classic" or whatever it is in the stores now... you get Kunark & Velious (and maybe even Luclin & PoP... it's been awhile since I've looked at it). And it costs the same as buying basic EQ did when that was released.

Just like when I started... I bought Basic EQ & RoK in the same box, where someone who started pre-RoK would have had to pay basically twice what I did to have both.

EQ platinum didn't have OoW when I bought it (around when DoN came out) for my 2nd account.

Wrong message board. Tanker and Absor specificly avoid answering direct questions here. This is a forum for players to discuss tradeskills with each other and they don't want to corrupt that with a lot of people trying to contact them. If you have a question for them, go to the official forums.
