Can anyone suggest some cheaply bought TS Gear to raise my Wis? I found that going with wis was alot easier for a monk, with all the +wis leathers availble due to druids/BL stats. However I'm still kinda lagging and cant seem to get my Wis over 170

KEI has 25 wis on it, and is a long-term buff. VoQ and Clair have more wis, i think.
stat food and drink can help, as well. misty thicket picnics are cheap in the bazaar (5p or so each?) and have 5 wis. qeynos afternoon tea also has 5 wis, and i often see it in bazaar for 10-20 p each. getting a few of these in your food slots while tradeskilling will help.
that's +35 wis there.
if you didn't miss it during the 6th anniversary, the festive doll has 15 to all stats. you can find them for too-high prices in bazaar now (too high for something that was free a month ago, imo).
check the slots besides the visible armor slots that are commonly tradeskilled. in particular, primary, secondary and range. also, since you're a monk, don't overlook repacing your hand slot while tradeskilling.
as a monk, you might be interested in velium inlaid claws, anyway, for a weapon. they have 10 wis.
also, if you do DoN, there are +12- and +14-to-all-stat augs that you might be interested in, anyway, and these would boost your wis, too.

I misremember the name, but glittering ring of judgement maybe? 20 wis rings can be a nice bump.Xodar - Tribunal server

Sorry, Monk, 65 Iksar, on E'Ci. I currently use a gearlock in my main hand and swap out with Othmir Hide Cap, Earring of Solstice, Nasthar Vambraces, and am using misty thicket Picnics.
Other than that, my gear is like this, with a few changes (will update it tonight)
http://www.magelo.com/eq_view_profile.html?num=263771
I stopped getting expantions after LOY, since i stopped playing a long time and am just getting back into the game.
Oh and as for price, I have 8k to my name. While bein 65 is nice for farming, I suck at selling it, and my comp crashes too much for Bazaar selling. Money is always a problem, especially being a monk!Last edited by Drax99; 04-30-2005, 08:18 PM.Darkness is merely the inability to percieve...

When i was looking for ts gear i went to baz and searched every slot for int and bard and bought the items that were cheapest/point of int. e.g. a ring with 10 int for 500p > ring with 12 int for 1k.
You could gain an extra 6 wis with some black or iced mountain tea, palladium ?ruby ring has 10 wis and is fairly cheap on MT, mask of the wise could be a face option and bracer from umbral plains - a 15 wis wrist boost might be cheap on your server.
If you have a +40 bard friend you could try bribing them to sing their wis song for you while you ts.
I wouldn't worry too much for lower end ts-ing, i got most of my ts's to 200 with between 150-230 int. Remember smithing uses the higher of str/wis/int for skill-up rate and fletching uses dex/wis/int, if you plan on raising all it may be worth doing smithing first in order to raise funds for better wis gear.

You can go to bazaar and do a search for usable wisdom items. You can sort the list by wisdom by clicking at the top of the 'stat' column in the list, or sort by price by clicking at the top of the 'price' column.
Some of the best stuff for wisdom is tradeskill-made. Jewelcrafted rings and earrings should be good, maybe a necklace, or a velium ruby veil. An acrylia studded cloak and tunic would both be good, and you could probably get an acrylia studded mask for 10 plat.83/1000 High Elven Enchanter on cazic (8x300 tradeskills)

Yea, i fergot to add I also have a Mithril Torque fr my neck, 15 wis/int is nice, but people still laughed when a monk looted it, heh.
I'm not gonna bother with Smithing and Fletching anytime soon, I already have a ranget and cleric that do those. I was gonna focus more on what I myself can get use out of, which is why I was thinking tailoring. The baking, brewing and pottery just came from needing it for quests... And the fact they were rediculously easy to raise...
So, since I am basically looking for an all around suit for TSing, I looked at my stats and saw that my wis was alot easier to raise as a monk than int, mainly because being a leather class, I can wear alitta stuff aimed for druids, with wis.Darkness is merely the inability to percieve...

As you are a Monk and most modern "leather class" goods have +Wis on them (for the BLs & Druids), you're on the right track.
The Bracelet of Comprehension might be slightly pricey, but has +15 Wis for the Wrist slot.
There's some Cap out of OoW (I'm not at home right now, so I can't check items & names) that's rediculously common, so should have a very low price-tag.
The Beginner's Magic Manual can be held in the Secondary/Range and just needs a Hobgoblin Surprise (and all that running around in PoK) to get. For +6 Wis, it's a bargin.Angelsyn Whitewings, Cleric of Tunare for 66!Seasons.

As for items:
Sleeves of Constriction or Sleeves of the White Lotus. The White Lotus Sleeves have better stats for Monks, but lower Wisdom.
Acrylia Studded Cloak & Tunic.
Velium Ruby Veil. If you find someone working on Jewelcraft, this can be very cheap.
Repugnant Leather Boots... dirt cheap.
Platinum or Velium Jasper Ring.
Cherry Blossom Belt (great overall upgrade, too!)

Hmm...as a thought look to see what kind of palladium items are out there. Since it's being used as a skillup path, you *might* be able to get a deal on something that would enhance wisdom.
