The new interface hasn't been around 2 years, so it's impossible for that to be the case. It's more likely that every recipe you tried was actually in the 'already known' list - just as all the different combos for Celestial Essence are listable, even though most of us have only used the version with the store-bought research components plus a couple of others.

One other problem with recipes stored locally...
If you create an item that has a 'required skill' to combine (like ethereal sheets) and you use a skill mod to reach that skill (like a gm trophy), then the recipe is added and you can then make the item with any skill.
I found this quite by accident with ethereal tempers and brewing. Had my geerlok to raise skill enough to make it. When I came back later I started making more, and realized I forgot to equip my geerlok.
So, if you could add the sheets to your recipes, you could go to 212 from 50 on them.Comment
