  • Expert Artisan to Master Artisan?!? Planned skill up path.

I'm currently Expert Artisan (1750) and plan to get Master Artisan (2100) as soon as possible after DoN comes out. I have a budget of 1.7 mil plat to work with at the moment. But the bad news is that I sold or gave away most of my tradeskill supplies when I hit 1750. So I'm looking for predominantly store-bought ways to skill up, or things that aren't too harsh to farm in bulk.

Here's my tentative plan to skill up from 250 to 300 in each of the seven tradeskill areas. Any comments or suggestions on other things to make would be appreciated.

Baking -- Misty Thicket Picnics 335

    Brewing -- Brut Champagne 335

    Fletching --
    flame tipped acrylia arrows 268
    shadow tipped acrylia arrows 268
    Rough Shadewood Compound Bow 282
shaped bazu bone compound bow 302
    obsidianwood compound bow 335
    primordial driftwood compound bow 335
    stonewood compound bow 335
    featherwood compound bow 335

    Jewelcraft --
    platinum pearl ring 252
    platinum topaz necklace 255
    platinum peridot ring 258
    platinum emerald ring 260
    platinum opal engagement ring 263
    velium opal engagement ring 266
    platinum fire wedding ring 268
    platinum star ruby veil 271
    fire emerald platinum ring 274
    sapphire platinum necklace 276
    platinum ruby veil 279
    velium ruby veil 282
    velium jacinth wedding ring 284
    black sapphire platinum necklace 284
    platinum diamond wedding ring 287
    black sapphire velium necklace 287
    velium diamond wedding ring 290
    platinum blue diamond tiara 295
    velium amethyst necklace 302
    velium blue diamond bracelet 302

    Pottery --
    unfired idol of tunare 282
unfired idol of rallos zek 335
unfired idol of Solusek Ro 335

    Smithing --
    crimson darkscale bracer 335
    mistletoe cutting sickle 335

    Tailoring --
    othmir fur cap 262
    arctic wyvern mask 335
    ceremonial solstice robe 335

I'm an ogre shadowknight of rallos zek. So no wood elf cultural. Fletching over 282 looks like a HUGE pain. I have access to imbued jade, imbued fire opals, imbued emeralds, and maybe imbued sappires.

Suggestions on things that I'm missing that I can use to skill up that might be less of a pain than the stuff listed?

There may be some cheaper/easier ways to skill up with recipies from DoN, but I guess if you want to be one of the first to get all to 300 this would be the way to go.

For baking, many of the PoP baking items have trivials over 250. I have a few backpacks of Hero Parts I've been saving up; Hero Sandwiches trivial at 295 and are arguably easier to make than Misty Picnics.

Oh, and for Tailoring, you can add all the Velious leathers -- Cobalt Drake, Tigeraptor, and Black Panther stuff. Also Ceremonial Solstice Robes. All trivial at 335 and may be easier/harder to get depending on your circumstances.

For smithing the cheapest would be Shadowscream till 268 (I think) then onto anything else next. Tae Ew weapons would technically be very cheap if you farm all the blood yourself; but then alot of recipes are cheap if you can farm the lot.

Used up all my PoP baking supplies getting to 250 baking actually.. but I'll look if any components are for sale in the bazaar at the moment.

Cobalt Drake, Black Panther, and Tigerraptor I sold off all my yew leaves and cod oil when I hit 250 tailoring, but can probably get those back again. But don't think any pelts for sale at all. I'll have to check the bazaar for the pelts for those. Had ceremonial solstice robes listed already.

I've never done shadowscream but might have to check it out. Already had a lotta cultural stuff saved up so figured I'd go with that since I know the cultural pretty well. Got the first item for the shadowscream armor quest, maybe today I should turn that in and finish up the quest so that I can make shadowscream armor once the skill cap is lifted tomorrow.

I know I have about 30 tae ew blood somewhere, so good thinking to mention that, I can make that stuff easy enough since I have the blood already.

I'm in the same boat as you. What's worse was I finally destroyed my Hammer/Mallet about 3 weeks ago for Shadowscream armor, and gave away 320 swirling shadows that had been rotting in my bank for a year. /Sigh...

I plan to go up to plat ruby veil in JC, then switch to the gemmed chains for Solstice robes - kill two birds with one stone. I cringe when I think of how many chains I'm going to go through. If there was more meldstone in The Bazaar, I'd make the base material for Qvic armour to skill smithing/tailoring.

I have a buttload of swirling shadows, just not really sure what to do with them... had enough ogre cultural armor combines saved that I never really needed to do shadowscream. I'll eventually run out of dwarven blood though, and then I'll be stuck in smithing with the mistletoe cutting sickles.

Good idea to skill up jewelcraft on the gemmed chains. Hope I have enough mule room for all that LOL. I'll definitely do that once the other stuff is trivial. Do they STACK yet? OMG I hope so, non-stacking gemmed chains is stinky.

Anyone got any ideas of the new TITLES for having 300 skill? Or 300 skill + the tradeskill aa's?

I'm thinking with as much stuff as I'm gonna be tradeskilling, spending 15 aa's on salvage 1, 2, 3 seems like a great idea. Might get a few free re-attempts out of that then.

I have at this point only been stockpiling for one skill,as I am concerned that we will only be able to take one past 250.. though getting 18 AA for NTCM was not bad, I dont really want to do it again

So far working to gather a metric buttload of stuff for tailoring, and I would like to work gem studded chains for jewelry at the same time but I am not sure if it is feasible atm I wish someone knew !

To be honest, I haven't messed with magnatized stuff much at all. Maybe now's a good time to learn it LOL. Guess I better check bazaar for magnetized.

Where you find 1.7mil plat I have no idea...

However that should be more than enough I would imagine to GM all tradeskills, perhaps not fletching..

I make maybe.... 15k-30k in a week on a good week.

                            If your rich

I gave up pharming for smithing, and with so many leaving game baz was not providing me with what I wanted to finish smithing off.

So, I went to abysmal sea and made spectors <sp>, the ones smithed for part of the key to get raid 4 in Kod. Sure it cost some plat but maxed out in a couple hours

If you do re-start Shadowscream, don't forget that the Bloodling Platemail tunic (from the quest you need to get started) is not no-drop, so you can borrow one to get started.
