or just have the 5k on you and the polearm, if someone drops a 5k item on you the rest all will toggle off, or if someone does the 2k one and polearm you will no longer have 5k and not have the polearm and they will all toggle off anyways, the water works but would be redundant in that particular example.

Er...if you can only offer to buy one item at a time, then you HAVE to pick which one of the 3 you want (in your example). The multiple items thing simply means that you can offer to trade multiple items (or a combo of items + Plat, or just plat) for the 1 thing you want to buy.

At least, that's how I interpret it....will have to check it out on Test I guess.

Just checked with designers, and on Beta:

There is a direct zone line between the Bartering Quarter and the Bazaar, and both zones are marked "No encumbrance".

As far as the cross-zone search goes. Normally, zones don't talk to each other, so a new functionality would need to exist solely for this purpose. Also, the searches that go on in each zone are part of the problem with the zones becoming overloaded. I'm not sure if this solution would be much better than putting them all in one zone. Still, I'll keep the idea around, see if someone here comes up with an upgrade.

The buyer window opens with /buyer. One section of it searches the whole EQ database, so you can offer to buy things you don't already have.
So there is now a searchable database of every tradable item in game even if undiscovered? that has a lot of possibilties.

Yes, great possibilities. But it's only the tradable items, and so far on test it only has about half of those. Furthermore, you can't right click on items in the list to view the stats.

But I suspect it'll be more complete by release.

if every tradeable item in the game is searchable that won't help too much, unless we can search by the lucy number to fill in the gaps. we wouldn't know the names to whats missing for everything would we?

NO, but you could plug away guessign at things as it takes partial names and lists everything related, if say you were looking for something missing for a quest or trades combine that might possibly no be no drop.

ok, so you CAN offer to buy more than one item at a time, . cool.

What I didn't like: the scale of the zone is way way way too big and its separated into all sorts of different rooms....it should have been set up in an open concept like the bazaar, imo.

It's so big in terms of both scale and actual space that you feel lost inside, as if the place was built by and FOR giants....this isn't Kael . And then you get REALLY lost (no map for the zone on beta, dunno about test.) And the "Find Buyer" function kept giving me "Mysterious forces prevent you from finding..." message...possible because itis so huge and the buyer platforms are all in different rooms and different levels. (I /bugged it)

In my opinion it really needs to change.....clone the bazaar, change a few things graphically to freshen it up, but keep the open concept and the size/scale (although the bazaar has a high ceiling, it doesn't feel like it was built for giants) After all, why so much space in the barter quarter when even the bazzar is never filled to capacity anymore?

Well... The walls help with lag... but it still sounds like a reall mess. I am sure they could do walls and not have it be so bad. (I have not gone in to see it myself)

Unfortunately, I don't have access to a play machine atm, but had a couple of questions...

                      1) If you want to buy Doljonijiarnimorinar do you have to remember how it's spelled? Or is there a useful search tool (by name? stat?)

                      2) What if you want to buy Part of Yaeth's Compendium Pg. 73 (left side), but don't want Part of Yaeth's Compendium Pg. 73 (right side) are you able to make the distinction easy enough?

                      3) Are you able to buy A Faded Salil's Writ Page to make the left hand side of page 64 without buying A Faded Salil's Writ Page which would leave you with the right hand side of page 90.

                      4) If you say you want to buy 'Class 1 Bone Point Arrow' will you get the arrows with a range of 50, 75, or 100?

                      5) Is it possible to advertise for NoDrop stuff as a way of saying you're interested in buying a multiquest turn-in (i highly doubt it, but it'd be nice)?

                      6) Will we be able to set up a barter toon and/or vendor toon in the guild hall (hint, hint)?

I doubt MQable items can, or will be allowed to, be advertised...since MQ's are not technically supported game policy.

However, those are some nice points you bring up. Now I have an idea to this. Suppose I have a character, my bazaar mule say, that is completely full of stuff that I'd like to unload. Assuming that all I have is a non-stackable item in easch slot, I can have up to 80 items that I'm looking to sell...but who has time to look through the seller feature to find if anyone is looking to buy any of the 80 items you have? I don't exactly have the time to go to the buy zone and look up 80 different items every time before going into trader mode and going to sleep.

What I propose is to make an internally stored list, of items on your person (not banked or shared banked), that I can hit a button and have compared against all the buyers that would be wanting all the items I have. Thus a window will show a return that can be sorted by the buyer or the item, and allows me to see what they are offering in return. That way I can check to see if anyone wants one of my 80 items, and if they do, what they're willing to pay. Then ic an either sell, or go hit trader in the bazaar and end my night easily, rather than searching all 80 items out.

                            Another concern...

Charged items...will have to get a shammy to test this on Test

If I set up a Buy line for a 10-dose gate potion....can somone sell me a potion with only 1 dose left?

Same with dropped items with charges.

If I want a Stein of Moggok (which has 1 or 3? charge of light healing)...will someone be able to sell me one with the charged used up or not? i dont necessarily care about the charges here, I want the stats....

How about an Ornate Velium Pendant? There are 2 versions in game, same name. One is extremely rare, unlimited charges, the other is the nerfed version with only 4 charges (of Alliance). What if Im willing to pay 500K for the unnerfed version...can someone sell me the nerfed one? Can they sell me one that has 0 charges left? I can't tell which is which in the search database because you cant right-click for stats....and would that matter in the case of an item with all its charges expended anyways?

So, in the case of the Stein, I wouldn't really care, I just want the stats from the stein...but I would care a LOT about the potion or the Ornate Velium pendant.

                            There need to be safeguards

                              1) You can search for 'joni' to get a list of items that should include that.

2), 3), 4) Hmm, I'm not sure. The duplicate-name problem persists in bazaar, but I'm not sure about barter.

                              5), 6) No.

I guess I'll have to test duplicate-names and charged items.

For question two, yes you can, when setting up your buy line, distinquish between left and right pages, because the graphic is there to look at. However, the graphic is very small and hard to see. That's something I'll feedback on, since it's an issue.

As for question 3, I'm not a researcher, so I'm not sure what you're talking about or the answer. Maybe Trellium will be able to answer it, since he's the researcher in our family.
