Tradeskill Portion of 12/15 Patch Message

It's 3:15 pm EST by my computer's clock, about 15 minutes after the expected time for the servers to be back up and it wasn't up yet. I'll be checking a few recipies that I wanted to do before and couldn't do it because of missing ingredients. Is there a quick list of known recipes with missing ingredient(s) somewhere?

If I had known about the change to /who command, I wouldn't have bothered to make a list of all classes a few days ago

Is this a real item? Are all the ingredients for it, including ingredients for the subcombines, in game? If so, could you provide us with any tips on where to look for the missing bits?

Add the missing cookie cutters and their matching cookie recipes: vah shir, shissar, grimling, and sonic wolf.
It would also be lovely to have new recipes for pottery/smithing to make them if not vendor bought.

* Package of Vegetables?

We REQUESTED the ability to make "package of vegetables"?

What is it for? What's the recipe to make it, and why are we requesting them? Is this a way to store 20 stacks of vegetables in one slot or something? That'd be appropriate, I guess, since they've made vegetables necessary for just about every recipe in GoD. (My theory being that SOE developers play a lot of foraging characters and wanted to get rich)

I find it kinda creepy that the patch message has (*) user requested next to bug fixes. It implies either that they're taking as much credit as possible for requests, or that they would not have bothered to fix...say...multiple pet procs if we hadn't demanded it. If it's a bug, fixing it should be a given.

Reminds me of when my parents said they'd give me one of those jock jackets if I got a letter in track, and then gave it to me for my birthday as the main gift, a rip-off since they owed it to me anyway.

I can see it now:

-- You can now zone without your character taking 20k of damage *
-- Fixed memory leak which caused machines with more than 1 gig of RAM to catch fire *
-- Repaired bug which caused bind points to change to between the feet of the nearest named mob if you die during a raid. *

Changed the Kelp Salts ingredient in the basic Ice Cream recipes to a new item called Rock Salt which can be purchased from the baking vendors in Abysmal.

Along that line, would it be too much to ask for a recipe for something like a Gnomish Ice Maker* that produces ice that substitutes for Ice of Velious in the Ice Cream recipes? If Ice Cream had better stats I could understand making it hard to make (gawd knows the Churn is a big enough PITA to make), but +5 to Fire Resist, please....


*I'm thinking it would be something that makes a stack of Ice and is rechargeable with a mana battery and a flask of water. That seems reasonable, doesn't it?

Not a Rant, I Swear...

I still am wondering what Package of Vegetables is for, and who "requested" it. That part of my previous post seems a reasonable, non-threatening question.

But since ice cream churns came up, didn't some SOE developer say they were looking into making the tinkering of one less insane? I've spent 20k just to get the ingredients to make a single churn (because of the insane rarity of Icy Gelidran Hides and Severed Ferang Tentacles), and now I'm afraid to let a tinker TRY to combine them unless he's 250 skill and has all the AAs, because it's a 275 trivial...

All to make ice cream that boosts single resist stats by 5?

This is the SOLE set of baking recipes for OoW? Something requiring an almost impossible tradeskill container in order to make food which has little or no use? What's going on with the promise to "look into" that?

I didn't see a mention of the portable still/brew barrel. Anyone have any news on that? Also do we know if the Full Capacity Gnomishing Vanishing Device recipe got altered from needing Raw Infused Matter to be charged?

I personally still have yet to figure out the subcombine on the casks, though I do have a boot gasket handy and all other things once I do. There's a new book on the nightstand, the leftmost one. (A tinker should know where those are.)

It's not raw infused dark matter, it's Infused dark matter, the post refine item. So one raw=10 charges AFTER refining it successfully or turn-in to Abysmal Sea npc. to get your 2 infused pieces.

Vanishing device can be recharged and changed back and forth at will via recharge. No fail. I do believe you still have to use class 5 battery to create a half capacity one initially. Will attempt creation of full capacity with 2 infused dark matter from scratch later today. Once I've bashed my head against the collabsible brewing container sufficiently.

Fire beetle eyes and lightening cores were made stackable several patches ago, not in today's patch.
