Wow... this is a hard decision, and for a very odd (to me) reason. I can't seem to just give my own opinion, b/c my opinion changes based on certain qualifiers....

If I were judging based on "dev-time involved + likeliness to get done", I'd think Ghoul problem... you wouldn't think it would affect many people, but when you're trying to deal with it, the littlest thing can be a total pita. Plus it seems like a simple thing to DO AND GET DONE, and then not have to worry about it, really.

"dev-time involved + benefit to most people" = upgrade the TSUI. Delete button, yay. Little inventory numbers, yay. Make tradeskill messages and text go into a separate log file YAY. Oh oh, while we're at it, let Tradeskill Spam be filterable !! /dance!

"This problem has been around far too long + OMG FIX IT ALREADY" = Pop crafted armor component drop increase. Yes, this is the exact opposite of the 'filters' for the Ghoul problem, but... Pop stuff has been out of 'whack' since, well, PoP. And that's *counts* four expansions ago? Few people really make it b/c newer nicer stuff is out, but /still/. It's here, it's not leaving, and it should be fixed b/c a fix is long overdue. And I am a /big/ fan of the "fix it now b/c it should have been fixed a long time ago" train of thought.

    Hm.....

I will vote for the Pop-drops overhaul. Because to MY mentality, it's what needs to get done. The other stuff is newer and should hold its breath for a bit. I like the TSUI and would interact with it more than the other two I've thought about, but, well, it's not "broken" right now. So, that's my vote. Fix Pop armor craft drop stuff.

    edited in...

Is there a difference b/t the "10) Disparity in component requirements between Plate and Chain/Leather for PoP armors" that has 2 votes and the "Excessively low drop rates for PoP temper components" that has 1? Because either I haven't eaten enough today, or those two items are... addressings of the same problem?

And also, I would venture a guess to agree with Splunge that no, the idea of an "all/all" tailoring bridge has not been built. Tink is a gnome and adores the fact that her Loy robes have bought her like all the tribute she has (not to mention 2 alts, too), but not everyone has such a route available.

Of course, rather than introduce new recipies, if the devs are really up to tweaking a lot of stuff (or maybe just a little bit) (and as long as they are looking at spiderling silk drops), they could raise drop rates on stuff like cobalt drake and arctic wyvern and othmir furs and hides, and anything else that is generally seen as a "super pita pharming bottleneck" to the 'traditional' ways of raising tailoring.

Please have a Dev review the drop rate of the Rune of Zephyr, if it drops at all. Some people claim to have looted one on Hate's Fury or high end LDoNs, but 99.999999999% of the rest of the EQ population believe this Rune is a myth.

Well I killed him again /sigh an anchor rotted....

So in the last 5-6 kills I looted an anchor off of the first two and then a couple kills without and then had to let one rot because no one needed it.

It could be that I just got lucky, I am in Oasis nearly every day, but I have long since stopped camping that punk cause he never ever ever dropped an anchor in (well) over 40 kills....

Not saying this is fixed, heck I even killed the AC in SRO twice now, I zone in and he is up.... /dance

        On a more personal note....

If it's any help I am on BB server, if you need the anchor send me a PM with your character name and (crosses fingers) "if" I get lucky again I will send you a tell =)

A warning though, corpse has a 7 min timer so you would need to get there pretty fast, I started running my chanter there when I first saw him on track and she barely got there to loot it in time and all I did was let him get hit with my DS, I never attacked him after getting agro...

          Tradeskill UI change

I'm not sure if someone's already mentioned this or not, or if the devs can even make this possible, but I would like to have the components that aren't consumed in a combine (eg hammer or file when smithing) not be taken from inventory and put on cursor. Just one (or three for some fletchings) less thing that needs to be autoinventoried back.

The problems are similar, but not identical. The "disparity" issue is that a chain item requires one half to one fourth the requirements of the same-slot plate item. There is no game balance reason for this difference. The "drop rate" issue is just that -- regardless of what you use the bits for, the drop rate on them is too low.

In other words: the new brews are utterly worthless.

Now, if the Intoxication effect stacked with run speed AAs and allowed a temporary run enhancement indoors then they would indeed be desireable. It's not much of a buff, which is why I thought it would stack and bothered to test it.

And btw, if an effect says it will speed me up and then causes me to slow down, it's bugged. Waving hands and talking about stacking is just a throw-back to the days of 'working as intended' double-talk.

Far be it from me to argue with the silky moderator lady. I added this one as #10. There were several other threads in the EQ Live forums about this, that I linked in the top 10 as well. I'll post a link to the list on the EQ Live site once it's posted.

                      12) Mid-to-high tailoring bridge recipes
Maddoc mentioned that he would consider new recipes to bridge the gap between 190 and 240 in tailoring, but most likely that would be part of a future expansion.

QUESTION: Did OOW address this concern?
I want to vote for this...OoW in no way addressed mid-to-high level tailoring. The items required are insanely rare. Unfortunately seeing changes in a future expansion is very unlikely to help me but I would hope SOE see some way to sort this out and make Tailoring slightly less painful and masochistic than it is today.

The non-viable path of Gates tailoring?

Considerable reference has been made to OoW tailoring not having a viable skill up path due to drop rates: that seems to be the same in Gates as well
-for example, whips etc. -- nice skillups for the 170's/180's etc. They nearly all require 'whip crackers'/hynid manes. Must have killed 25 or so in my group the other nightat the soul camp. 2 bloods and 1 mane dropped. Also, 1 aligned ore dropped, a few (5 I think) pieces of Raw Pale Nihilite, 3 or 4 gems, 5 or so pieces of Dark Matter, one Flawless Hynid hide, more Grimore pages than I could count. No shimmering items at all. There's no way enough hynid manes can supply 'crackers' for whip skillups at that rate. In fact, none of the items except the pages dropped in enough quantity for any kind of skill up production. Back to Acrylia masks I guess... pretty poor for a year-old expansion. (I won't talk about Turepta shells this time around either, or stonemite 'parts').

Have any of these issues been submitted or added on to the top ten list? I saw a list in another post that had the rune of zyphyr issue in the #10 spot, and I was really hoping to see the mid-to-high tailoring bridge recipes issue to have made it on there somewhere. From the response in this thread it seems to be on many people's minds, and has been a long-standing issue.

I'm still waiting for some feedback on the original list. Once I get that, we'll be able to decide on how to proceed.

One other thing that was mentioned to me was that OOW would have some additional recipes that might fill this need, so I'm also waiting to see if that proves to be true.

Np, just thought I'd ask. As to any recipes added with OOW, unless the ingredients are found outside the expansion zones I don't think there's anything comperable to the skillup paths of stuff such as shadowscream, stiens, etc. that other tradeskills have but tailoring is lacking.

The GoD JC kit is still unique, and non-collapsible. If you read the JC book in game, the JC kit 'contains all the molds, and tools' required for JC. I'm still waiting for a combined collapsible, POP + GOD JC kit.
