Spiderling Silk Drop Rate Data

Widow Hatchlings need to be investigated throughout Norrath. I was in Toxullia Forest the other day hunting for spiderling silk and "a spiderling" dropped from 0 to 3 silks while "a widow hatchling" dropped anywhere between 0 and 6 (yes 6) spiderling silks. Quite often, they would drop at least 2 silks.

Sorry. By "investigated" I meant that we (not the DEV's) should look and see if this is just an occurance in Toxullia or elsewhere (G.Fay).

I tried the widow hatchlings in GF last night for a bit, but didn't have the same results. I didn't kill more than 10-15, though.

as of 6/10/05 (not that I am sure folks are interested anymore, but what the hey):

Killed 50 spider type mobs (9 large wood spiders, 23 widow hatchlings and 18 spiderlings) for a total of 69 spiderling silks. The hatchlings had by far the best drop ratio, with a maximum of 5 silks per kill. Next were the spiderslings with 3, and finally the large wood spiders with 2 at the most.
The one thing about Tox that I don't like as far as hunting for silks goes is that you pretty much have to run around the entire east side of the zone to find the mobs, and though tracking helps, I find that often I am running back and forth across the river to get to a single spider spawn that may or may not drop anything. **** that druid tracking!

Anywho, hope that helps at least somewhat.
