why not also add a note there saying hand to x (ok I forget the name of the barbarian) in the bazaar to recieve this bag.

Most people know but for the bag token newb out there this could reduce the frustration especially the rare one who would buy the token see the stats and think its a bag already.

Couldn't they just put a descriptive tag above the NPC?

    Something like Bag Token Exchange?

Much simpler and more noticable than some text on the right click info, some newbs dont even know how to right click.

The most asked question in Baz on my server is "where is the npc", cause she just looks like any other npc in the zone.

We discussed this at or after the last Fan Faire. Absor said that buying and selling prices are balanced against the current yields. Changing the yields on breakdown combines would require re-pricing every single item that can be broken down, plus their results, plus everything you can make with them -- otherwise, you risk a really nasty plat exploit. The long and short of it is that while technically it's easy enough to do, it would take so long to balance it that the proposal is unfeasible.

The devs agreed that there is no in-game or game balance reasons for plate armor to require so much more by way of tempers and bricks than chain or leather. I posted a detailed analysis and proposal on my site here and linked it at this EQTraders thread and this EQLive thread for discussion.
Very time consuming to evaluate -- I'd like to do it, but it's not on the radar for the next few months at least.

Excessively low drop rates for PoP temper components
On a similar note, the drop rate for temper components (used for plate, chain, and leather armors) compared to saps for silk armor appear severely out of balance. As Chenier noted in the EQTraders thread linked above, it's all but impossible for even an elemental guild to gather enough supplies to make a reasonable number of plate, chain, and leather armor pieces. The general consensus appears to be that the drop rates on temper components should be raised, though to my knowledge no one has posted an analysis proposing a new rate. To pull a number out of thin air, I would say the rates need to be doubled or tripled, but again, I just made that up.

I would like to add that the drop of Putrescent Blood be increased to other mobs in the zone (Torment) besides the two events (and it's rare in those events), getting this blood is impossible, I dont even know anyone who actually has the spell, it is silly mpossible to get. Make it rare if you absolutely must, but at least make it achievable without a large force.

I am interested in this and all the recipes that have missing components, it takes the fun totally out of the game to have to be hit with a hard reality check that so many things are left undone by the people that program the game.

The churner itself has a very high trivial, for something that is really just for fun. And some of the Ice Cream recipes require no drop ingredients. Are the ice creams intended to be this hard?
Here is the problem imo, you have to be 69 to even enter the zone that one of the parts drop in, but yet you have to go kill green mobs for nodrop items to make the ice cream, providing that no one of appropriate level is killing those mobs for exp. I can easily kill the mobs for the salts, but it would be nice to not have to. I would happily buy them from low levels, like spiderlings silks and such. Or expand the variety of mobs from which they drop. At least with Spiderling Silks I can level my alts killing for them, I don't like having to potentially take exp from a low level just for drops.

Could the item names for the half-pages be modified to include a left or right tag? Something like "Part of Yaeth's Compendium pg. 22L" or "pg. 22R" would be fine. "Left Half of Yaeth's Compendium pg. 22" and "Right Half of ... " would also work.
How about the runes? Could we have some way to diferenciate between the old style runes and the LoY reseach runes? Color tint, shape change.. anything, pretty please =)

The runes for the new research (for the 50+ spells) are all weight 0.0, while the old research runes are all weight 0.1, easy way to tell them apart, though you do have to right click.

One idea I've seen suggested before is being able to dye existing bags, or make recipes for colored bags. It would allow people to color code their bags .

Another idea if that wasn't feasible, was the ability to name the bag (or teh UI window) the way you can rename chat windows.....

This would be a godsend imo, I constantly have to open every bag until I find what I am looking for... I have also wished for an "Open All" button for the bags in bank.

                      Great Idea!

But... it would require some sort of posibly major (could be minor for all I know) code change. The current UI (not game graphics but UI graphics) does not allow for color shading the icons.

The vendor prices for velium blocks, bricks, and pieces definitely seem designed for 2-to-1 (or more) splits. Around 40pp for a block, 11pp for a brick, some tiny amount for pieces. I'm not familiar with every type of ore, but I find it hard to believe that it's balanced to current yields.

I realize it's not a trader topic, but I've been hearing rumors that there's new character models coming sometime this year... any chance we could get a confirmation or denial on that?

If I need to justify it, could be because that'll affect our markets for certain items depending on how they look on the new models :P

List looks good though, thanks for being proactive

Notice that half the questions we have now, are ones that have been asked before.. just never acted upon.

My quetion isn't about tradeskills... i want to know, know that we have great new graphics that show interactions between mob/player modles and enviroment.. why is it that the spiders in EF show a cloud of mist coming from their mouths? Alternatly, i'd like to know why does a "spider femur" looks a lot like a bone? Even better, i'd love to see the orbital plot for Luclin that keeps only one side facing the sun at all times.

Little things that mean a lot.

But seriously, we've asked questions about things.. some of which Sony has said would be eay to do. 6 months after the last fan faire, we're still asking about them. If it's easy to put tokens in for bags that didn't have them, and it hasn't been done for 6 months (fine, 5 months.. there was a list made up in the first week after the fan faire)... the question is, will it ever get done?

Has Anyone killed the Ghoul lately?

I killed him nearly 40 times, btu one day Oasis was reset and since then I have killed him twice and looted two anchors.

He may already be fixed =)

This is where the specificly colored recipies woudl come into play as the Non-Code solution. Could reuse the Dyes from Fine Plate Smithing for this as well although I don't think we need quite as much variation as that setup originally allowed.
