One of the paladins at Paladins of Norrath who was in the OoW beta said that after he hit level 66 some of his skills started going up - weapon skills, offense, defense, etc. Our defense had been at the hard coded cap of 252. He specifically said that it now went higher.
My feeling is that I doubt they made such a drastic altering of the basic skills structure (one that has been in game since release) to only melee skills. This is all supposition on my part, but what if that hard coded 252 cap no longer existed for tradeskills also? I'm not saying that we'd be able to pass 250 through skill ups, BUT what about % mods? Currently, if you're at 250 in a skill you're capped at 252 even with a 5% mod. If that cap wasn't there, you're modified skill would be 262. With a 10% mod it'd be 275. With a 15% mod it'd be 287.
If it does work this way, it may be an unintended aspect of the melee skill adjustments. At his point, who knows? I just wanted to point out something that could potentially affect all of us.
