    *chuckle*

I started with tradeskills WAY back when - before metal sheets stacked. I actually made a character SPECIFICALLY for tradeskilling - a DE necromancer. then I started on smithing... got through banded and fine steel. What's next? Cultural armor. Oh. Requires an enchanter. Hmm. Requires imbued sapphires. Hmm.

And thus the start of alt-madness was born. It only got worse. I was hunting in Overthere and collected a boatload of sabertooth hides. Hate to see them go to waste; create a wood elf druid. Hey, they can do all kinds of neat things too! Playing in Stonebrunt and pick up some of the drops for Footpads of the Tiger... create a monk alt.

And where has it ended? After five years off and on (I have taken more than one extended break from the game), I have 3 accounts and 22 characters that I play, with almost every race and class represented. I can imbue RZ, Innoruuk, Sol Ro, Karana, Cazic Thule, and Tunare. My smiths include Barbarian, Human, Dwarf, High Elf, Dark Elf, and Ogre. My tailors are Wood elf and Erudite.

My biggest gripe with tradeskills is that it is impossible to GM all of them without emphasis on level - or having a high level character collect drops for you. That said, I still find them one of the most enjoyable aspects of the game.

Everything solved so far with the help of TS friends - made their 4 toons the spells for imbuing Emeralds, Jade, Plains Pebbles and Ivory as a gift and trade with them on a imbue half - keep the other half for bazaar basis.

Works out well for everyone -at least if we are online at the same time

        Imbues

Now, I don't know when it happened, but it used to be that it didn't matter what diety you were, you could still cast the imbues. There's a cleric in my guild that can do just about any of the level 29 imbues. I think he said he's missing 2 or 3, he just didn't get around to buying the spells before they made them diety specific.

Of course, he can't do the mass imbues. But it was funny, watching a dwarf cleric imbuing plains pebbles.

So as far as finding the right imbues, you just might get lucky.

I hijack friends characters, or PL my own imbue bots. It's amazing how willing friends can be to imbue couple of delux toolboxes when you PL them and shower them with tradeskilled goodness. With the right main it's easy enough to get an imbue bot to 29th in couple of days. I mean can a person really have too many clerics or druids? I think not!

Having a chanter can be nice for the serious TSer for. I can't imagine how I got along without a chanter now, it's so nice to not have to hunt around for vials, clay, or metals. Imbue some, sell the rest to make back material cost. And of course for the int/wis buffing for skillup runs. Much love for the enchanter class when it comes to tradeskills.

no 'cultural' sol ro stuff. There are J/C and pottery combines, but that's it :/ *I* think you should be able to add them to robes for int casters. They'd be pretty useless in smithing....
Unless you are a dark elf. DE casters can worship Sol Ro and DE's can smith chain for casters. High elves might have the same option, but I've never looked.

any wizard can choose SolRo as a diety. Bards also have that option... and I'd think those would be the people really interested in some smithing.
