  • Cultural TS regarding imbues (deities)

My TSers are HUM, WE, BAR and VAH

According to the recipe lists my HUM can do cultural forged armor for every deity a human can choose but imbued Northman Ringmailcan only be made with imbued ivory (=Tribunal). This puzzles me since the imbued northman weapons can be forged for Tribunal and RZ.

Same with the wood elves: While the weapon recipes include imbued emerald(=Tunare) and imbued plains pebble(=Karana) the tailored cultural "sabertooth tiger armor" recipes only include imbued emerald.

I plan to investigate this but since its hard to come across imbued gems you don't do yourself on Morden Rasp server (3 weeks and not a single imbued jade for sale in the Bazaar) I would appreciate any experience made by others

Cultural tradeskill recipes have loads of inconsistencies and gaps. It is something that we repeatedly ask about at fan faires and that has been acknowledged as a problem by the Powers That Be. There's just too many other things that need doing first, so this hasn't yet been attended to.

As for the imbued gems, I'd be tempted to make a hotkey: "/auction WTB Imbued Jade" and hit it whenever you enter a zone. There are probably plenty of imbuers around who just never bother to sell the stuff.

Sabertooth is elf cultural tailoring. The Karana (Planes Pebble) is Halfling cultural Tailoring.

in fact I have a hotkey like that calling for imbuing gems - i hit it right after my LFG hotkey when I enter PoK or BB

I even carry a stack of each of the to be imbued gems around (5 so far) but I guess I should buy the spells as well as I am often told "would do but never bothered to buy the imbue spell-sorry"

Pretty much exactly what I did with the PoP imbues. None of the enchanters in my guild bothered to get the spells, so I collected the bloods/liquids you use for each, headed to Freeport long enough to get the blank spell scrolls, and equipped my two favorite enchanters with a complete line of imbue spells for PoP. Made my life a LOT easier in the long run.

If you're looking specifically for imbued jade, keep your eyes open for an ogre shaman as, if memory serves, that's their only deity option.

I've got a mix of characters in different classes/races and I can do a lot of the imbues, but I've never sold them in the bazaar.. mostly because I don't do any bazaar selling so there's no point in starting just for that. However, for the characters of high enough level, I have all the imbues/enchants that they can get and will usually do it if I see an ooc or someone tosses me a tell with a respectable offer (respectable varies depending on my mood, if the person asking me says "could you please" or "enchant this plzkthx", and whether I know them or not. Also how much else I'm doing at that point in time.).

So the /ooc advice is good stuff. Good things to look for (not even claiming a definitive list, just listing the stuff with good odds

Bertox: human cleric. Good luck with that.
                Brell: Dwarf Cleric
                Bristlebane: Halfling cleric. Also dwarves?
                Cazic: Erudite Cleric. Iksar Shaman?
                Erollsi: Human Cleric. Good luck.
                Innoruuk: Dark Elf Cleric
                Karana: Halfling druids
                Mithaniel: Frog cleric
                Prexus: Erudite Cleric
                Rallos: Ogre Shaman
                Rodcet: Human Cleric. Good odds.
                Solusek: Any wizard
                Tribunal: Barb shaman
Tunare: High Elf Cleric or any Druid
                Veeshan: Human Cleric. Good luck.

I'm thinking there's another erudite cleric one besides prexus, but it's not coming to me. Outside of inny, it's somewhat rare to find an evil cleric, so you're probably not going to have much luck there, but it's worth trying.

If you have an unimbued gem you're much more likely to get help.. My high elf cleric doesn't tend to carry emeralds around, but if soemone gives me one I'll usually imbue it for next to nothing. If you need it done in bulk, keep in mind that most of us have the mass imbues, so if you keep your requests in multiples of 5 it helps. I'd actually rather do 5 than 3.

Rallos Zek barbarian warrior wants some cultural armor. He needs a human to smith it, and an ogre to imbue the gem. So whose culture is that?

Sounds like Vah shir/ half elf/ froglok cultural to me :P

I think that's "quested" armor. Kinda like an epic.

                    :P

I am just glad my smiths arent dwarf warriors - giving some stacks of rubies to a stranger to have them imbued must be quite....exciting

                          Religion list corrected

This is a clarification of the "who can imbue" list above:

                          Bertox: Human and gnome clerics

Brell: Dwarf and gnome clerics (dwarves can only worship Brell so this is your best bet).

                          Bristlebane: Halfling and gnome clerics

Cazic-Thule: Erudite cleric, Iksar shaman, troll shaman

                          Erollisi: Human Cleric.

Innoruuk: Dark Elf and human clerics (Dark Elves can only worship Innoruuk so this is your best bet); troll shaman

Karana: Halfling, human, or half elf druids; human cleric

Mithraniel: Human and froglok clerics, froglok shamans

                          Prexus: Erudite Cleric

                          Quellious: Erudite Cleric

                          Rallos: Ogre Shaman

                          Rodcet: Human Cleric.

                          Solusek: Solusek Ro wizard

                          Tribunal: Barb shaman

Tunare: High Elf Cleric; wood elf, half elf or human druid

                          Veeshan:
These are not imbued, but created through a low-level pottery combine (fused dragon crystals). Only human, half-elf and wood elf bards can worship Veeshan, so there are no clerics or shamans of Veeshan.

Don't forget Troll Shamen, worship Cazic and Innoruuk. Not that they're perhaps particularly /common/, but they're there.

                              "Solusek: Solusek Ro wizard"

Didn't there used to be a rumor that there was a Solusek Ro cultural smithing combine at one time that turned out to be false? I just remember experimenting with high elf smithing looking for a combine that used a wizard imbued gem that didn't yield anything.
