Xev hit 500 traders the other night for the first time I've seen it happen.

I think that now that folks can minimise EQ, they are more prone to simply leave thier characters logged into trader mode so that they can do email or whatever while they trade.

No more EQ for me till they fix the crash bug.

I know that I'm more likely to try and vend the results of my farming in Najena. Although, I've been half tempted to sell the finished tempers, provided I can find enough lava rock carrying elementals. Oh to have been an evil ranger.

I've not seen it on tribunal when I've been on, usually its 500 or so TOTAL people in the bazaar but maybe around 360 traders.

That is funny though, 500 is not that big a limit when you figure if everyone left a trader in the game while at work or asleep it would be far more than 500 at one time on most servers. I guess for the most part that doesn't happen though.

Saw it in on Tribunal just last night (night to me, morning in the USA). Is this something they added with the last patch or are we only now reaching critical trader mass on various servers at once?

I've seen the bazaar hit 500 on Veeshan before the recent window-mode patch, but it only happened once that I know of in the three months I've been on. I think the limit has always been there, but it never came to light before this patch.

The first thing I do when I get home from the office is fire up EQ, load my trader mule, and start selling. Then I minimize EQ and check my email or do my other work.

Now that you can run EQ minimized, I imagine more and more people with 24-hour connections (I'm on dialup, grrr) will just leave their mule (or their main, for that matter) on 24/7.

I never saw the Bert bazaar at 500 until this morning. It'll be interesting to see if I can set my enchanter up to sell before I have to leave the house....

Trader Limit Likely to get worse . . .

In my experience the 500 trader limit is becoming increasingly problematic (on Bristlebane). Being on the West Coast I think makes it worse as by the time I'm done hunting or tradeskilling for the evening and want to log on the trader mule to sell my items overnight the bazaar is full. I think all those players to the east of me have already gone to bed and done the same thing.

I think it is probable that this limit will become even more crimping when/if EQ actually moves to the ability to run multiple sessions on one computer (was aluded to as a future possibility by Absor I think). While most people will not shell out for another computer to have a full time mule I think there will be enough who will pay for 2 accounts if they can run multiple sessions for either powerleveling alts or (as I might be willing to do) have a full time mule while my main is out enjoying himself (to say nothing of the fact that it would make transfers of items to the mule easier and risk free).

                    Trader limit

There are a lot of foul people who will try to trick you or get you to go LD for a spot...
1> Turn off all particals and set plane cliping to 0.
2> use NumPad 3 to look at the groud.
3> stay out of chat channels and/or turn off all types of chat in options.
4> turn off new models to save ram for packet disruption times.
This has save me from going LD - from bards spaming songs to little Mages summonsing rods. and chat spam causing a packet loss..

just a little tip that has saved me from trouble.
Personally i like the limit. Lower lag, and helps against monopolys. I would hate to see 900 traders selling items like mine, or exactly my items..

Ratio aint bad 2300/500 is about 5% of server trafic.
