New expidition zone off of Nedaria's Landing. Allows single player. Forage seems to be standard. Fishing is Abysmal Sea, so if you can't get what you want there try here. Exp. is good, all blue mobs.

My druid was in the Forgotten Halls this past weekend to explore. She tried casting Form of the Howler (wolf form with mana regeneration) and discovered that this must be an outside zone since she succeeded.

She also found out that the mobs HATE druids in wolf form.

Vegetables were a common forage; she didn't forage any plant shoots or other Jaggedpine forages while she was there.

First off, this is a tech demo more than a place to fight

        That said...

On the nedaria landingh south dooks near where the dook meets land, you will find a red haired male elf. Talk to him about entrance to Forgotten Halls.

There MAY be a bug in the graphics (fixed, but I am not sure it patched yet.) where you get vvery poor frame rate. If you do minimize and maximize EQ.

Watch the rats and bats. They assist each other, and they hit in the 600's. They are not agro though.

Here's some more information on the zone ..

          http://www.catcreations.com/ariaya/forgotten_halls.htm

          Some additional notes:
At level 30 the mobs are not agro ... at level 60 they ARE (pet pulling or serious CC required ... they're too close to harmony)
XP is decent at 30 .. was getting 2% per kill duoing

I've been in there ... 3? 4? times including on my VERY old just-barely-minimum computer with a ATI Radon 9200 (the only upgrade) video card. I haven't experienced any significant lag.

Interestingly, there does not appear to be any level spread restriction on this zone. Earlier today a 58 shaman friend grouped with my daughter's 35 warrior and was successful in receiving an expedition. They didn't actually try fighting in the zone (in fact she stayed in PoK). All the mobs the shaman saw were green to him... still, sometimes it's fun to include guildies not quite within a normal adventure spread in a group, and having an instanced zone available is nice. There also seems not to be a time limit.

at 41 the mobs don't assist... was getting 5% per 4 kills.

If you die, you can "leave the expidition"... and the instance will collapse in between 5-24 mins (not sure exactly, but my corpse was out when i went back at 24 mins).

rat loot was newbie rat loot, with 0-6pp at level 41.

                  Live.

Probably more beneficial at lower levels (for exp), due to the non-assiting... once they start assisting.. um.. take a chanter, or 2..or 3...

A couple annoyances though are, if you pull from the room, you're view is constantly being interupted by all the roaming guards; if you back up into the wall, it auto-ducks you, which turns off attack; at 41 about half of the mobs do not run at 20% health; and, if you fear kite, you again have to deal with lots of mobs in your path.

                  .. but it's a pretty zone..

They assist at 59. And it takes forever for them to forget about you when you feign. I liked those giant golems, though you could barely see them with the fog. If it weren't for the faction hits you'd take, I'd have seen what would happen if you interrupted the mages controling them. Of course, with them hitting up to 308, I wouldn't have lasted long (I BARELY survived the rats, even with feign death).

Weird at 65 solo I was not agro, though they did assist! (was dead faster than exodus (0.1 second casting time) could go off!)

The assist radius has been modified a bit for the bats/rats in the higher level instances, since they're packed in those rooms like... well, rats and bats in a room

                          The 2 colum room

Went to try my luck in this place, cast Tashania on one bat and had it and 2 golems pounding on me for 200 a hit in 1 second, stunned me in the second second, resisted my desperate AE stun in the 5th second (was stunned for 3 seconds and they were immune to the stun) and Dead by the 8th second from the first cast.

Not a nice place at 53 to solo. Note, the rejected golems will assist the bats and I assume the rats. They hit into the 200+ range fairly quickly, It took them 8-9 second to kill me with temperance and around 2400hps.

Going to check how long it takes corpse to pop out after I leave the expedition, although I could just go in and get it.

Bah it quit the expedition for me. Possibly when EQ crashed when I died so i can't report the spawn time for corpses.

Corpse timer puts it at under 20 minutes for it to pop out of the instance.

I don't think I'll go back without a fair amount of back up.
