UI bug with favorite recipes ?

Another form of Bug Post Afternoon Patch

My Enchanter's Phantasmal Tome autocombine feature got messed up today.

For all recipies that he had been able to use yesterday, when I searched for them and then tried to do the combine it returned a message such as Only Magicians/Necros/Wizards may use this container.

I WAS able to do combines the old fashioned way. It also did seem to learn the recipies AFTER I deleted the old versions form my list.

Haven't seemed this one mentioned before...my favorites seem to be tied to certain world containers. Two brewing barrels in PoK--one showed my current list (KC, vodka, bleeding brain, soda water, fermented yarrow). Had to use the other one, and it didn't show any favorites. Added bleeding brain, did some combines. Checked other barrel when it was open, it showed my normal list of favorites.

Couldn't pull any kind of recipe--or add one even--to any collapsible container. I'm guessing that this is because of the temporary nature of them. Would it be possible to add the recipe(s) directly collapsed container, then each collapsible it makes holds that list?

I had this happen as well, I'd learned all the GoD Sauces in the brewing barrel, and after the patch they were all gone, yet I still had the sauced meats recipes in my mixing bowl list.

Seems that the recipe listing, isn't linked directly with the combine database. instead of just copying the name of the item/combines to the recipe list, they made a new listing so they could personalize recipes to indicate the various items with multiple recipes. That's great, but it's messy when one is changed and the other is not updated along with it.

Recipe A ---> Item 1
Recipe B ---> Item 2
Recipe C ---> Item 3
Recipe D ---> Item 4
etc

becomes
Recipe A ---> Item 1
Recipe Aa --- > Item 2
Recipe B ---> Item 3
Recipe Bb ---> Item 4
Recipe C ---> Item 5
etc

That's my theory anyway, I'm lucky enough not to have been overly inconvenienced by it yet.

Just a note to let you all know what's going to happen:

On Monday, I'll begin implementation of changes to the favorites system. This will greatly reduce the reliance on client-side data. This should only take a few days (barring any other emergencies I get put on), and the code should go up to test soon after.

Thank you very much for all your help narrowing these problems down. I think we can close the book on Favorites issues for now, and wait to see how my changes will help.

Could someone please start a different thread on loss of Learned recipes? I'd really like to get some specific info on this. Specifically, what recipe did you Learn, in what container, and then what container were you using when you couldn't find it by searching for it by name.

One thing that I have found with favorite recipes that can help. If your favorite recipe is not the correct one, such as Metal bits showing you need a small brick of or, do this. Do a search for the recipe, then do a combine. It then should show the correct recipe on your favorite list. Hope this helps. :>
