foraging
OK I know it isn't a tradeskill per se, but it seems to be one of the best things I can do to earn a bit of cash. Everything else is really hit or miss (and *whine mode on* pottery is my only skill >200 and not moving higher for awhile *whine mode off*).
Making subcombines for other stuff while camping an annoying mob or trying to forage particular items passes the time while I grab stuff that folks can actually use. Foraging stuff for the ribbon dyes seems to work well, as does stuff like dragon eggs, planar oak, tannin components, and other raw materials.
Would be even more profitable if I just didn't give friends stuff they need. LOL
And as many have pointed out subcombines seem to sell more consistently than completed items at least below the terminal skill levels.
