I would be happy if they made a 'Mule' class.
Yeah, they should make the graphic an actual mule!

Tokens in place of bags are just like how collapsable spits work IMO, except that you'd have to visit the bazaar everytime you wanted your container. The only two collapsable containers I've seen the need to buy are sewing kit and spit, so they don't take up that much room, but the rest of my stored junk completely fills my bank.

Forgetting that the game isn't coded to work with bags greater than 10 slots, could the "This item is used in tradeskills." flag be enough to restrict such a container as the work bench as tradeskill item only?

And yeah, where is the "Collapsable Book of Research"!

How bout an item that instead of holding tradeskill tools summons them. Similar to collapsed containers but when clicked pops a window that prompts/asks you what item you need. The list could contain all tradeskill tools or a different one for each tradeskill.

Something like a gnomish portable kitchen. When clicked you can summon any of the following:

      Dairy Spoon
      Mixing Bowl
      No-Stick Frying Pan
      Pot
      etc etc.

My biggest problem with tradeskill items isnt the tools, geerloks, collapsibles, etc (though those ARE a problem) its what to do with all the tradeskill components I farm between the time I farm them and the time I am ready to use them. Particularly the non-stackable ones, like oh, say, acrylia ore. Its a pain to have to stop and convert the acrylia to stud, boning, arrow shafts, etc, every friggin time I get a few pieces, rather than saving it up and doing it all at once. But I simply dont have the bank space for it. Tonight, I did shadow-tipped arrow combines. Every single inventory slot I have is now filled with arrows, in the bank and on my person, or with arrow components, until I can transfer them to a mule. I for one, dont like to do my combines piece-meal. I like to have tradeskilling "sessions."

I like the idea of a work-bench that was initially mentioned, but maybe, instead of making it a container, since containers cannot have more than 10 slots, it can take the form of a separate bank-like object. Maybe require a unique npc, separate from the banker, or maybe it would be additional slots in the bank. Here's what I was thinking...

Each tradeskill has a unique item (say, moderate trivial 100-150 ish, so the quest is only done by SERIOUS tradeskillers, and not used by just anyone who wants some extra storage space) that, when turned into an NPC (the first time), grants you, say, 4 slots in your "workbench" to start with. Do a turn in for another tradeskill, get 2 more slots. Another skill, another 2 slots, and so forth, for all 7 major skills. So if you do a turn-in for all 7 major skills, you have a 16-slot workbench, and a total of 160 extra spaces to store stuff. Add on specialty skills like tinkering, alchemy, etc, you could potentially get more. Or maybe not, since that would give an unfair perk to a limited numbr of classes or races. Maybe 16 would be the maximum.

It would be REALLY cool if they had an object-like NPC (like the boats, for example) that functions like a banker, meaning multiple people can access it at the same time, rather than like a oven/forge/loom, where only one at a time can access it. These slots can be used to hold containers, same as the bank, and within those containers, various tradeskill items (would be nice if there was some way to arrange it so that ONLY containers or items with the tradeskill flag can be stored there.)

I also like the idea of consolidating various tradeskill-related tools. Either way, tradeskillers need some way to aquire more storage space.

How about a tinkered item that has a number of "slots" - similar to augment slots. Let's call it a gnomish tinkered toolbelt.

Take your geerlok item and run through either a quest or some combines to convert it into a no-drop geerlok "augment" that fits in one of the slots. Effect would be to summon a no-rent no-drop version of the original geerlok item.

You could expand this to include things like the "Ak-Anon Smithing Gizmo" which would have slots for a smithy hammer, scaler, file, chisel etc.

Okay you are all skirting around it so i'm going to say it...

            Swiss Army Knife....

            Halfling's Do All

Keyring idea with a right click that will ask you (popup window?) what item you wish to use.

Combine your item with the Halfling Do All and have a skill check that may destroy the item you wish to attach with a skill level of 150ish?

            Would love this.

250 in brewing with a trophy! All other trade skills? /sigh don't ask.

I like this idea because it is codable (as far as I understand) right now. It IS a bit of a challenge possibly getting to the one item you want, but OMG it will save on bank space. I'll take two!
