If you ordered from EB games, you got a key chain with these symbols. using the symbols on it, both sides together, you get a clue. I was told to see Kizpi in everfrost. I suspect this is how you get your weight reduction bag improved.

So what am I doing wrong... explain
hmm wait I forgot that each rune after the first gets multiplied times 8 as well... that gives 20,643,840 possibilities

So those of us that ordered it online get hosed?

The quest is for those who bought the boxed set. If you bought the boxed set you paid about 5 dollars more, but you got an in-game reward of a weight reduction bag. The quest is to improve that bag. If you ordered it from Sony to download, you can't do the quest anyway.
When someone does this quest, would you please post the weight of the bags? I am inclined to do this with my monk, but if the bags weigh 3 stones or some such silliness, it wouldn't be worth it for her.
Only those that ordered the boxes (retail) got the keychain and in-game bag.
But those that order retail paid more, so who got hosed is something of a debate.
The first bag is 8 slot, large, 25 % reducing and weighs 1.0
Haven't upgraded mine yet, have to go to work, but the online info states the "reinforced" bag will be 10 slot, giant and 50% reducing, so I presume weight 1.0 as well.
**EDIT**
My wife and I had a slight difference in keychains. My, lucky me, had the star "hole" on the key ring, her's did not. Took her longer to solve because of that.
In My (Not Always) Humble Opinion, except where I quote someone. If I don't know I say so.
I suck at this game, your mileage WILL vary. My path is probably NON-optimal.

I do like how the "retail partners" online had the preorder price of US$29.99, which is $7 more than the preorder price (instead of the $5 dollar more $27.99 it was MSRP'd to be).
Mendatenrognabs, you have made an error in your basic assumtions.
EACH rune has 8 possible rotations, therefore the correct figures are :-
First box, 10 runes in 8 possible rotations = 80
Second box, 9 runes in 8 possible rotations = 72
Third box, 8 runes in 8 possible rotations = 64
Fourth bux, 7 runes in 8 possible rotations = 56
Giving a total of 80 x 72 x 64 x 56 possibilities = 20,643,840
If you got the box, and have the keychain, it's a really easy puzzle... just look at your keychain, line it up right according to the 'hints' and flip back and forth.. hehehe
probably told too much... but nice bag.. turns your 8 large slot 25% bag into a 10 giant slot 50% weight reduction bag..
/e Throws his bag over his shoulder and heads to Mistmoor wistling a happy halfling tune....
250 in brewing with a trophy! All other trade skills? /sigh don't ask. Magelo to see my junk.
And it looks different form my other bags, huzzah!
