Went to create a new toon to see what all the stats had to say and what they affected. Was shocked they included trade skills in there
Anyways, here's what it said:
Strength - "If your strength is higher than your intelligence or wisdom, it determines how quickly you gain skill in Blacksmithing."
Stamina - No Trade Skill benefit.
Agility - No Trade Skill benefit.
Dexterity - "If your dexterity is higher than your intelligence or wisdom, it determines how quickly you gain skill in Fletching and Make Poison."
Wisdom - "Wisdom affects your chances of gaining skill points in most skills, if it is higher than your intelligence."
Intelligence - "Intelligence affects your chances of gaining skill points in most skills, if it is higher than your wisdom."
Charisma - No direct benefit to skill ups per say, though it affects how much you pay for vendor sold trade supplies as well as how much a vendor pays you for items you sell to them.
Gotta say, I was highly disappointed at how little Dexterity is used in trade skills overall. Seems to me high Dex should be used as a substitute to Int or Wis when it comes to Tailoring, Jewelcraft, and Pottery instead of just Fletching and Make Poison. Anyways, atleast they finally made it official as to what stats affect what skills.
