It has also been said, at some point in the future, those cultural arrows will be nerfed down so that no one has a vendor only path to 300.
There are some of the cultural arrows that are not vendor only, and there is no reason to change them, changing the others (vice all) was what the discussions were about, and I do not believe it was stated they would be, but rather it would be considered.

The funny part is I never even knew about the vednor only path until after I had finished skilling up and already evolved my trophy. I know once I finished the plains pebble supplies on Tunare finally started to replenish. =/

I do not remember exactly where, but back when PoR came out there was a lot of talk about those recipes that lead to the introduction of all the treant fletching combines.

Also, in the smithing sections, the MCS, the GSC for jewlerycrafting, and the CSR for tailoring (this has already happened) are getting lowered so no skill has a pure vendor path to 300.

Some of those arrows need drops, and they were not in the plans to change (thought a full revamp might change them) Some need forages... which I am on the fence about... but some were vendor only and those needed to go lower. But I am waiting for now.

Oh yeah, watch out for the see invis mobs... the giants and the undeads.
Thanks, Somebody also suggested devisation for getting horse hoof.

In the end somebody dumped a ton of treant onto my buyer, so i got by without needing any. Though typically after making lots of glue, first combine got me to 299 and then went through almost all of it before hitting 300

Thinking of using the excess to make some of the more interesting druzil bows.

Any suggestions on some good recipes to 300 when we don't have access to PoR?
I'm on the Combine, and 15 points of fletching is keeping me from joinin' the 2100 club, but all I'm seeing as options are elemental bows (Good luck trying to get a group to go farm bow parts), bazu bone bows.. (Bazu bones seem to be absurdly rare), and drake-spike/dragorn wing bone/girplan feather arrows.. finding enough of all of these somewhat rare components to make more than a few combines every week is a rarity.

PoR is the next expansion for us to unlock, but it seems it may be a while.
I may just end up waiting for it to finish fletching, but if there's a better option.. I'm all ears. ^..^

I think the PoR recipes are still open even if you don't have PoR. Have a friend that has PoR go to Elddar and collect ground spawns and forage for some treant branches.

He is on the Combine (Progression) server. The zones are not opened to them until they complete certain tasks in the previous expansion and meet time constraints of GMs to open new content.

Unfortunately you are stuck with the horribly rare PoP drops for fletching until PoR is unlocked

                      Real pain

Fletching was a pain for my dark elf to get to 300. I mean if your a woodelf or tunare worshipper its easy but a de its not. What i did though was make a rng so he could get branches in tak course its better if you got natures bounty as the branches are rare. But you can also kill trees for the drops. Just wish fletching was easier to get to 300 as is a real pain. I have 7 level 7 trophies and guess which one is still level 6? hehe.

Correction, if you are a Wood Elf or a Karana worshipper, you have an easier path.

Veeshan worshiping rangers already have a path to 300. The same path as all the other non-woodelves, non-Karana worshipers get. PoR bows.

Half-elven or human rangers that worship Tunare do not have a cultural path.

This is what I consider the most comprehensive thread from the archives on skilling up via PoR bows. Make sure you read the *whole* thread before you decide which method suits you the best:
