  • Recipes to 300

Okay as a non-druid and non-ranger and non-elf class any suggestions on getting fletching to 300. I have seen various different suggestions but most require foraging, or some type of druid/ranger ability.

    Thanks in advance.

PoR fletching recipes. Parts *may* be foraged in certain zones but are mainly dropped by treants in TSS. Someone else may give you the details in it since Im in the airpport right now killing time and dont feel like doing your research for you.

The branches are also ground spawns in the Elddar Forest and the Ruins of Takish. I got to 300 picking up the ground spawns (mostly); it was not real fast, but it worked.

Simply put, if you can play two toons at once... park one in ruins of takish hiz and just kill the three horses for hooves (poaching is fun!). Have the other in Blightfire Moor killing Treants.

There are also treants in Gorukar Mesa, however those are a bit meaner with a 200ish damage per tick aura around them that's unavoidable unless you're a caster.

The reason I suggest laminated stuff is that you can use all 3 types of branches vs only one or two, and you get roughly the same amount of skill gain chances. Just my theory, was the easy way for me.

Been A while since I did it but Im pretty sure I didnt farm horse hooves to get to 300. I think there was one of the three branch types that got as high as 298 before laminated recipes where required but the other 2 took me to 300 with just the branch drops (nor did I have to farm those tinkered cam parts although I looked at it). Again, do your own research and dont just rely on the guide.

And when you get to the higher recipes, you need to check what type of glue they need. The yields on the glue are adjusted to make some bow recipes more for skilling up and others to create the better stat items. I think the highest yield on a glue subcombine is 10, but I was already 300 fletching before PoR bows so I did not need to use those.

Has there been any thot by Devs to introduce a cultural Dark Elf Arrow? Wood be pretty cewl ...made out of Adamantite or something. Really tuff being a darkelf fletcher.

There is no real purpose. The reason wood elves and Karana worshippers had cultural fletching is because, they have rangers. No other class really uses arrows the way they do. Also, arrows as they currently exist are not being improved because of the way rangers only need 1 arrow and never seem to run out.

It has also been said, at some point in the future, those cultural arrows will be nerfed down so that no one has a vendor only path to 300.

As Gorse pointed out, there is a skillup path to 300 without having to laminate your treant branches. However, if you do not have access to a tinkerer, getting Battle Bow Cams will prove a challenge.

Having done both on my way to 300, I can definitely say that the added inconveninence of acquiring Horse Hooves to make laminate is by far the lesser of two evils compared to acquiring Battle Bow Cams (and I have a gnome alt that can tinker them).

Getting components for the cams seemed to be my main problem

So these 1 cam recipes might help.

Oak Treant Laminated 1-Cam Bow 302
Desiccated Treant Laminated 1-Cam Bow 308
Composite Treant Laminated 1-Cam Bow 315

Hopefully tonight I will be able to get from 298 to 300 tonight with the ton of treant branches I bought over the weekend.

Get an SOE, then go inivs and run around in Devastation picking up ground spawns (if you are a foraging class, remember to forage too)
they look like black/red rocks (graphic is black background red notes if you look closely) theres another ground spawn looks exactly the same too, keep or dump at your choice.

Oh yeah, watch out for the see invis mobs... the giants and the undeads.
