    However with the last couple of expantions it seems that anything that is high on the trivial list could have any number of extreamly rare drop compnents even if the item it made isnt any good.

    When the combines are costing you almost 10k each and the results of the combine are best off simply sold to a vendor you know theres an issue. (research is somewhat like this)

      I guess some folks simply want to sit in front of a merchant and buy their way to a GM trophy. Fine if thats what they want, but it IS silly to ask the devs to change fletching from a skill requiring forage/drops to a "throw mountains of plat at it" skill (such as JC) after all these years and expansions.

        Hehe, I think the sticking point is that as a Tunarean Woodelf I am about to go throw some plat to level my fletching trophy, about 25pp per combine. Anyone not able to make cultural arrows is at a severe disadvantage, so people hope for a combine that is relatively easy to acquire in large numbers.

          each race tends to make special things in certain skills, ex.. gnomes and robes of intellegence, halflings and haversacks...
