  • Is this a good path to take? (skilling up)

With a Halfing Ranger (who joyfully worships Karana) I am trying to plan out the best skillup path for fletching.
What I am looking at right now is this...

    TrivialArrowheadFletchNockShaft
    162field -------------bone vane --large --wooden
    182silver ------------round -------large --wooden
    202field -------------ceramic vanelarge --wooden
    212serrated ---------shield -------large --wooden
    227serrated ---------round -------large --steel
    268condensed shadowshield -------small --acrylia
    300blessed steel -----steel --------small --steel
And Trueshot bows from 227 to 235 since the bits for it are much easier/quicker to farm than condensed shadows and acrylia.

Am I missing any cheap/easy steps along the way?
As it stands I'm looking at many long days farming acrylia and condensed shadows, and a fortune in metals for the steel components.

Depending on your finances, you can probably jump straight to blessed steel at 227 (or earlier). Those are all storebought as opposed to farming.

Yes, what you have is a perfectly good path. Depending on how much of a hurry you're in and how much plat you have to spend, you may wish to consider skipping acrylia.

I don't personally recommend it, as it didn't take me overlong to farm the acrylia, and at the time I was still getting xp.

Other things to work into the mix, depending again on how much time you intend to take working this up, would be various arrows involving dragorn bones, drake wing bones, drake spikes and girplan feathers. All fairly rare components though, so unless you happen to stumble across them in your hunt or in the bazaar, stick to your list.

      Good luck,
      C

From 182 to 202 I made steel shaft arrows rather than those with ceramic vanes. They are less costly (2.834 pp vs. 3.370pp), They are common fletching supply item and anyone can make them (no diety requirement).
        Hope this helps. :-)
