  • No LDoN fletching info?

Curious if anyone did any work to see what the new "bridge" combines were for fletching in the new expansion?

The only recipes found in the "New" Ldon books, are the Karana Fletching recipes.

There is a new recipe book on the beta server (NDA has been lifted at this point) that indicates a new type of bow staff, that can be found in Miragul's Menagerie. Text in the book indicated that sub-ing the new bow staff in recipes for shadewood would yeild a shiny new bow.

Text from the fletching book would be correct.
Foraged Sedge Branches in Miragul's Theme can be used as a bow staff.
Makes a bow midway between oak bows and darkwood bows.

Could someone who has made this combine please post the details for the database?

Wow, that's pretty lame...I woulda hoped for something better than shadewood or something with stats.

I think at one point I read an interview or something that said there were new fletching recipies that were bridge recipies in the 175-215 range, but that confused me. It's not like we really needed a bridge there.

Maybe it will be a "cheaper" way since the staff would be a drop item instead of store bought ... not sure how useful that would be seeing that the drop rate would never be high enough to raise in skill but ... hey ... maybe that was their thinking anyway.

I'm kind of annoyed that the single new fletching item is foraged. Where's the love for us non-foragers.

can't you do arrows that triv at 202? did i miss something? why the need for 175 to 215? do you have to use only the best components with the arrows making them super expensive or something?

That's precisely why it doesn't make any sense. We didn't need a bridge.

Some time ago, Sony fixed/nerfed/broke fletching when they decided to -

                          1) Fix/nerf the profit arrows and bows in order to stop macrophiles

                          2) Make fletching more difficult to skill up with (increase the average number of combines per skill up)

The general consensus is that these "fixes" have totally broken fletching post 202 - the cost to skill point ratio is extremely high now - going from 202-250 is about 1k per point now adays.

No more EQ for me till they fix the crash bug.

I made a post about Sedgewoods on the Ranger's Glade the day LDoN went live. It doesn't have much info, but might be useful.

                              Linkage

It looks to me like this may be a cost-effective solution to skilling up to around 215 (Don't know the trivial), assuming you have a Gnome to make cams for you...
