A little bit off topic but I wanted to post this so people don't waste time killing Krag chicks.

There is *NO* item in EQ called Aviak Egg that is a mob dropped item. The only item is Aviak Eggs that are foraged. If a mob does drop Aviak Eggs , they are the exact same item as the one foraged.

I know other types of eggs have a dropped version and a looted version, however, that just isn't the case for aviak eggs. On other types of eggs, the looted version is singular and the foraged version is plural.

Confirmed with Lucy. There is exactly one item called Aviak Eggs, and no items called Aviak Egg or any other variations.

I'll post the correct egg info in the appropriate thread for updating the DB.

        More DNC.

Ale + Vodka + Spices + Aviak Egg + CBSN
Short Ale + Vodka + Spices + Aviak Egg + CBSN

Ale + Vodka + Habanero Pepper + Aviak Egg + CBSN
Short Ale + Vodka + Habanero Pepper + Aviak Egg + CBSN

So much for that idea. I have no clue where to get Thubr's ale, if someone wants to try that one.

          Additional DNC's:

          Thurb's Darkened Ale + Spices + Vodka + Aviak Eggs + CBSN
Thurb's Darkened Ale + Habanero Pepper + Vodka + Aviak Eggs + CBSN

Thurb's Darkened Ale + Spices + KS Vodka + Aviak Eggs + CBSN
Thurb's Darkened Ale + Habanero Pepper + KS Vodka + Aviak Eggs + CBSN

What are we missing, folks? I'm positive we're dancing around the solution by now. Anyone see something I'm missing?

Maybe Jug of Spices instead of spices?

Maybe Melted Glacier Wiskey & Vodka instead of Ale and Vodka?

Has nobody tried useing a coldain beard?... It seems to me that Brodder is going out of his way to hint at it...

              From May 8, 2003:
[quote="Brodder FoamyMugs"]*looks about the room and whistles innocently, as he moves towards an exit and is stopped by a Halfling wielding scissors and a knitting needle*

Ohh hey! Watch the beard by Brell!!

              June 23, 2003:
[quote="Brodder FoamyMugs"]*peeks into the Brewery, and tucks his beard into his shirt*

              I'm clever, but wow...am I that clever?
BR (Brodder's revenge) is a cure hangover in the way hair of the dog or in this case hair of the dwarf that bit you would settle your shakes and alcohol induced effects.

Want to try this myself, but not sure when I'll get the time.

Perhaps a mug on a shelf a clue?
Near the lass it may be.
                Catnip tea and ale?
Ah'd shiver hard let me tell you.

I really thought it was gonna be using a Coldain beard, so I went and found a 'donor', thanks kindly friendly Coldain =:P

But the beard is NOT labled as a tradeskill item. At least it wasn't before the 8-6 patch. Those clues REALLY point to the dwarf beard, or so I thought *sigh*

Anybody else getting the urge to kill all the alchohol vendors in Kaladim, Thurgadin and SH Tinytown until Brodder gives us another clue?
Itzena Alhazared, Revenant of {Planeteers}, Vallon Zek. And also a seamstress.
Gelcea Macha, Wandering Animist of Tarew Marr. Will be a smith, one day.

Nihixul suggested that Lewena might like Blackburrow Swig ( she doesn't ) , and it is made up of "hair of the dog" from a certain perspective, so I tried it since I noticed that it has a tradeskill tag as of 6/19, for the following DNCs towards Brodder's Revenge:

Blackburrow Swig, Vodka, Spices, Aviak Eggs, CBSN
Ale, Blackburrow Swig, Vodka, Spices, Aviak Eggs, CBSN
Short Beer, Blackburrow Swig, Vodka, Spices, Aviak Eggs, CBSN

Blackburrow Swig ought to be used for something, it seems to me, since it does have a tradeskill tag, and several of the other components with which it is combined for the burning rapier quest don't have the tag.

Also, I don't know of anything pepper-like that came out with SoL unless brimstone counts . . .

/em wanders off looking for an evil gnome.

How did this get all the way back on page 2?

I finally managed to find aviak eggs and some other stuff to mess around with, hoping to try some combines tonight. And someone posted on the "summary" thread about some stuff to try, that I think has already been tried, so I wanted you to see this one

Well also in the interest of /bump

Brodder has mentioned a cross-skill component, something else hot or spicy, and Nagafen's Chili.

Maybe Flame of Vox instead of spices?

Anyone try Hot N Spicy Toelings as part of the recipe? Halflings were mentioned several times and this could be revenge of sorts.

                            Sorry Denmom.

I did think of this, and I tried several assorted recipes using Hot-n-Spicy Toelings. I didn't find anything, but my tests were hardly exhaustive -- I didn't have any aviak eggs, and Brodder's all but told us the recipe uses those.

Might be worth going back and trying the toelings with aviak eggs.

                                Maybe oil?

Kyros, is it possible that we should be using aviak egg oil, rather than the eggs themselves?

(<--- no playtime lately, otherwise I'd be trying out my crackpot guesses personally)
