If I can find an aviak egg anywhere I'll re-try these

Edit: OK, a follow up to what I wrote below. Tried them again in a real shotglass. Zilch.

      Uh ... small confession here.

I goofed when buying supplies. I didn't buy shotglasses, as I thought; instead, I bought Kromrif Spit Vodka. Which means my last two sets of combines (for tabasco sauce) need to be re-tried in a shotglass, if anyone feels up to it.

The aviak eggs are foraged in BBM; I found a young, poor, and bored ranger (!) and offered him 50pp to forage up for me 2 eggs and the sea salt. He seemed happy enough with the deal.

I'll do something with them eventually...

        Tabasco sauce, round 2:

Spices + Vinegar + Bag of Sea Salt + CBSN
        2 x Spices + Vinegar + Bag of Sea Salt + CBSN
        Spices + 2 x Vinegar + Bag of Sea Salt + CBSN
        2 x Spices + 2 x Vinegar + Bag of Sea Salt + CBSN

        Brodder's Revenge, round 782:

Ale + Vodka + Vegetables + Aviak Egg + CBSN
Ale + KS Vodka + Vegetables + Aviak Egg + CBSN
Ale + Melted Glacier Whiskey + Vegetables + Aviak Egg + CBSN

Short Ale + Vodka + Vegetables + Aviak Egg + CBSN
Short Ale + Melted Glacier Whiskey + Vegetables + Aviak Egg + CBSN
Short Ale + KS Vodka + Vegetables + Aviak Egg + CBSN

Ale + Vodka + Habanero Pepper + Aviak Egg + CBSN
Ale + KS Vodka + Habanero Pepper + Aviak Egg + CBSN
Ale + Melted Glacier Whiskey + Habanero Pepper + Aviak Egg + CBSN

Short Ale + Vodka + Habanero Pepper + Aviak Egg + CBSN
Short Ale + KS Vodka + Habanero Pepper + Aviak Egg + CBSN
Short Ale + Melted Glacier Whiskey + Habanero Pepper + Aviak Egg + CBSN

Assuming that Brodder's last clue indicates the recipe is in the list, but with Aviak eggs instead of Snake eggs (yeah, yeah, I know, big assumption), I went through and retried all the recipes I could using an Aviak Egg. Here's what I tried. All DNC. I abbreviated the 2xBrewed 2xStout Dwarven Ale to 2B2SD Ale to avoid confusion with multiple quantities.

Vodka + Aviak Egg + CBSN
Vodka + Aviak Egg + Spices + CBSN
Vodka + Aviak Egg + Habanero Pepper + CBSN
Vodka + Aviak Egg + Habanero Pepper + Spices + CBSN

Dwarven Ale + Aviak Egg + CBSN
Dwarven Ale + Spices + Aviak Egg + CBSN
Dwarven Ale + Vodka + Aviak Egg + CBSN
Dwarven Ale + Vodka + Aviak Egg + Spices + CBSN

        2B2SD Ale + Aviak Egg + CBSN
        2B2SD Ale + Spices + Aviak Egg + CBSN
        2B2SD Ale + Vodka + Aviak Egg + CBSN
        2B2SD Ale + Vodka + Aviak Egg + Spices + CBSN

Dwarven Ale + 2B2SD Ale + Aviak Egg + CBSN
        Dwarven Ale + 2B2SD Ale + Spices + Aviak Egg + CBSN
        Dwarven Ale + 2B2SD Ale + Vodka + Aviak Egg + CBSN
        Dwarven Ale + 2B2SD Ale + Vodka + Aviak Egg + Spices + CBSN

Vodka + Habanero Pepper + Aviak Egg + Dwarven Ale + CBSN
        Vodka + Habanero Pepper + Aviak Egg + 2B2SD Ale + CBSN
Vodka + Habanero Pepper + Aviak Egg + Dwarven Ale + 2B2SD Ale + CBSN

Additional combines, based on our previous work:

KS Vodka + Habanero Pepper + Aviak Egg + Dwarven Ale + CBSN
KS Vodka + Habanero Pepper + Aviak Egg + 2B2SD Ale + CBSN
KS Vodka + Habanero Pepper + Aviak Egg + Dwarven Ale + 2B2SD Ale + CBSN

Melted Glacier Whiskey + Habanero Pepper + Aviak Egg + Dwarven Ale + CBSN
Melted Glacier Whiskey + Habanero Pepper + Aviak Egg + 2B2SD Ale + CBSN
Melted Glacier Whiskey + Habanero Pepper + Aviak Egg + Dwarven Ale + 2B2SD Ale + CBSN

KS Vodka + Spices + Aviak Egg + Dwarven Ale + CBSN
        KS Vodka + Spices + Aviak Egg + 2B2SD Ale + CBSN
KS Vodka + Spices + Aviak Egg + Dwarven Ale + 2B2SD Ale + CBSN

Melted Glacier Whiskey + Spices + Aviak Egg + Dwarven Ale + CBSN
Melted Glacier Whiskey + Spices + Aviak Egg + 2B2SD Ale + CBSN

Going back to the "Bloody Mary" idea. I got my hands on some Chunks of Ice. Attempts:

Vodka + Vegetables + Habanero Pepper + Chunk of Ice + CBSN
KS Vodka + Vegetables + Habanero Pepper + Chunk of Ice + CBSN
Vodka + Vegetables + Spices + Chunk of Ice + CBSN
KS Vodka + Vegetables + Spices + Chunk of Ice + CBSN
Vodka + Vegetables + Chagra Spices + Chunk of Ice + CBSN
KS Vodka + Vegetables + Chagra Spices + Chunk of Ice + CBSN

Vodka + Vegetable Oil + Habanero Pepper + Chunk of Ice + CBSN
KS Vodka + Vegetable Oil + Habanero Pepper + Chunk of Ice + CBSN
(not bothering with the rest of the Veggie Oil permutations; I doubt that would be it. Someone else can test them.)

ok for tabasco sauce i would try it on either a mixing bowl or a spit/oven as this would not be a brewed item i would not think i am at work so i cannot try any combos now

Don't know if it makes a difference here or not... but as far as making dough is concerned - there are two types of aviak eggs.

Those which are foraged - and those which are rarely dropped by the Krag chicks/elders.

How about trying those recipes with a corking device? They were released with Luclin after all.

Tabasco Sauce: I'm pretty sure it would qualify as a brewed item, not a baked one. I came across a few discussion lists where they were talking about whether the tabasco brewing process qualified as fermentation (!) or not. Hence, my gut feel is that if tabasco is implemented, it would be brewed. Still worth trying in a mixing bowl or spit/oven.

Aviak Eggs: The item I was using was the foraged "Aviak Eggs" -- I haven't tried the looted variety. A quick test would be Egg Nog, which requires some form of Aviak eggs. Does it work with both varieties, or only one? The main site lists only one known use for the looted Aviak Eggs (which, incidentally, have the exact same name but are a "meal" rather than a "hearty meal"), and that's dough.

Some other salt options from a quick search on Lucy:

Blackened Salt Crystals: These drop from shaman-type grimling mobs in Hollowshade, I believe.
                    Kelp Salts: No drop info
Large Salt Crystal: No drop info

Does anyone know where these last two can be found?

Kelp salts drop off moor tortoises in Hollowshade. No idea about the Large Salt Crystal.

Edit: Looted the Large Salt Crystal off Grimling runts in the Shar Vahl pit. They did not have a tradeskill tag.

Has anyone tried Jumjum + Dwarven Ale + Habenero Pepper + Vodka + Aviak Egg yet? As I recall, Jumjum was supposed to replace the veggies in the origional recipie.

I spent a long time in BBM, couldn't get any Aviak Eggs for forage. Still looking for those stupid aviak eggs.

Well, pardon my ignorance. I'm kinda grasping at straws here.

                            You had said:
My bags are full, and halflings distracted...
                            Jumjum I'd never consume
Nor the juice of a legume...
But with vodka, and egg and spices concoted...
YOur revenge might be cured after all...
I had thought that you were trying to say you would not eat jumjum unless it was brewed in a drink (Well, hangover cures are supposed to be pretty vile anyways). but the following recipies have already been tried:

Ale + Vodka + Habanero Pepper + Aviak Egg + CBSN

Ale + KS Vodka + Habanero Pepper + Aviak Egg + CBSN

Vodka + Habanero Pepper + Aviak Egg + Dwarven Ale + CBSN

                            Vodka + Habanero Pepper + Aviak Egg + 2B2SD Ale + CBSN

KS Vodka + Habanero Pepper + Aviak Egg + Dwarven Ale + CBSN

KS Vodka + Habanero Pepper + Aviak Egg + 2B2SD Ale + CBSN

KS Vodka + Spices + Aviak Egg + Dwarven Ale + CBSN

                            KS Vodka + Spices + Aviak Egg + 2B2SD Ale + CBSN

Forgive me if I am wrong, but it seems as though we have tried every combination of vodka + spices (or pepper)+ ale (including dwarven and DBDS) + egg (you had suggested Aviak eggs)

Hmmm... looking back on it... mabye ale (or Dwarven ale, or DBDS) + vodka (NOT KS but the regular stuff) + spices + Aviak Egg would need to be tried. I believe last time someone tried it, they used snake eggs. Other than that, we've tried just about every combination we could come up with.

I spent several hours trying to get some aviak eggs, but no one bothers responding even when I offer 10pp for a single aviak egg and while I can forage as an Iksar, it pales to what a druid or ranger can do, perhaps foraging aviak eggs are beyond my racial skills. There's none in the bazaar for sale either.

Mabye I'm just grasping at straws and I'm way off base, mabye I'm just staring at the screen so long that my eyes are crossing, but I'm just plain stumped. I'm gonna down a few Cabilis Ales and veg for a bit and see if I can't come up with something while drunk since I can't seem to do so sober...

From my previous posts, these two are DNC:

Dwarven Ale + Vodka + Aviak Egg + Spices + CBSN
                              2B2SD Ale + Vodka + Aviak Egg + Spices + CBSN
Guess that leaves us with one recipe to try:

Ale + Vodka + Spices + Aviak Egg + CBSN

Also Short Ale hasn't been tried, but my hunch is that it would be normal ale.
