...i would like to know why that everytime theres a major patch that tradeskills seem to get either nerfed or harder to make things/success rate/drop rate/decrease in price when selilng to merchants. maybe its just me, but it really seems that no matter what tradeskills i master and grandmaster in, the combines/success (both skill points and finished products) the rare-ity of supplies/materials to make it with, the time it takes to gather things and prep for final combine, the cross tradeskills and class you have to find (if your doing only one tradeskill and needing another to finish it) (if you need an enchanter/druid/ranger/etc etc to do some sort of enchantment or combine). Tradeskills USE to be simple and easy to achieve as you progress. with more new expansion, it really seems they are making everything harder. is it so that we have to play more and more and more? i am a casuale play and i like making things. its tiresome at times thou, but its rewarding when you make your finished product and give it way as a gift to friends/guildmates...or sell for some of you. Yes its a game, an online game. Really seems since day one of EQ coming out that they are making things (in this case, tradeskills) harder and harder. soon we can only do 25 percent success rate at 250 skill? i bet in the near future (next expansion or so) tradeskills will be 300 and so forth until the day EQ goes out of business or something. its not right to make tradeskills harder...is it? is it the managment behind the weekly meetings they have there that says hmmm to make our folks play more EQ and longer lets make tradeskills harder. (this is all in context of tradeskills not other aspects of the game)
prior to some patches, baking we had to work/hunt for. now you just use a fillet knife and some meat.
smithing prior to some of the patches, you had to forge away lots of ores and leather paddings and what seems like an ocean of water to use.
potter, you had to kill zillions (ok few hundreds) zombies to get zombie skin to increase your skills
tailoring, fletching, k all those other tradeskills.
this is what i see since i started playing EQ when it first came out.
just venting some things since everyone else has their opinion and feedbacks. maybe it is me. maybe its only me that seem to notice tradeskills are getting harder and harder. thats my two copper for brewing. yes it takes a lot of dang hero mino and hardly skill points. Kaladim Con, its hard as heck. i have to buy a new mouse for so many combines (click click click etc etc)
think i going to have a long island ice tea.
