I did a search and no threads about Lawena came up. I remember their was a long list of drinks that did not work

To the best of my knowledge every drink in existence has been tried but sadly none work. This quest(?) appears to have been broken since the release of Luclin. If I remember correctly there was a thread listing all the drinks that people had tried on the old message boards somewhere.

Now that almost all drinks have been tried. It seems likely that what she wants is an ale whose receipe is yet to be discovered, i.e. a New ALE.

Despite their being probably a couple thousand serious brewers, you would think there must be some undiscovered receipes out there.

Hrmm.... A tinkered Ale Carrier? Woks were from PoP, so that cant be it. but other then a corking device, what could this be?

I made that list and posted it to the old thread. I have tried some 10-20 more items that also did not work. Will try to dig up the list, update it and post it here some day. Point is, pretty much everything has been tried and nothing works. My conclusion is, either this is not a quest at all or we need a new drink never before seen. I have spent lots of time trying to make new drinks, with focus on ales with Luclin items. I was not successfull.

I gave up in discust. The game designers need to place more hints in game than this. If a dedicated player spends hundreds of hours, and many others in the EQ trader comunity does the same, and the quest is still not solved, then I consider the quest broken. I am not suprised, the whole Luclin expansion was terrible, when compared to velius or kunark.

If a SOE representative stepped forward and posted that this is in fact a quest and it works, then I bet many would go back and try harder. It would be nice with some additional hints, but its not realy necesary if we just knew this was a working quest, and not some flawor text. I recall the long hunt for the bard helm mentioned by the banker in Firiona Vie. A verant designer did confirm after long time, that there was no quest for bard helm, that it was only some porly worded lore.

Read the reply by Brodder Foamymugs up above. I dont know what his position with SoE is, but he seems to be someone in a dev/programmer/design capacity for everquest.

So someone from SoE DID give us a hint. We just need to decypher it.
