I'm about ready to abandon all the work I've done up till now and level to 250 just to not have to make that 1 item.

The site says misty thicket off the wasps there. Well the wasps arnt that plentiful AND have yet to drop a stinger in 2 hours. Very annoying.

The 250 quest doesnt look any less annoying since I'd have to refarm a bunch of stuff I already got.

If memory serves, the last time I needed one of those, I had better luck in Greater Faydark. Wasps are more plentiful there.

I've also noted that Lucy has NO wasp stingers listed of any kind.

Confirmed that these still drop from the wasps in Misty Thicket. Wasps are pretty rare and the stinger is rare off them.

Wholesale slaughter of the zone has yielded one large wasp spawn in almost an hour. Before that, I was beginning to doubt their existance.

Only my appreciation of the irony that I got aligned ore to drop almost immediately in Natimbi keeps me going. Can anyone confirm these drop off Gfay wasps? The spawns are certainly more common there. Gonna give Misty Thicket a little more time and hop over.

Stingers for the Brodder's drinks are supposed to drop off the bees in misty or the wasps- but got put on one of the harder to find varieties by mistake (well actually when they made the quests harder to do, just because they could- something smedley has publically said was a stupid thing).

Suggest wholesale slaughter of bees, wasps, in both zones.

The Faydwer stinger should drop from faydwer wasps as it was intended.
The Rivervale version should have turned the beverage green or red- whichever was indication that it was poisonous to drink.

Been in Misty Thicket for over 9 hours....no Giant Wasp Stinger yet. *sigh* I'm cursed and the drop rate is rediculous.

I spent 6 hours in both GFay & Misty (total of 12 hours) and have killed a LOT of wasps and haven't seen a single stinger. They might drop, but they sure have an abysmal drop rate. This is the last part I need for the certificate. I'm thinking of removing the task and just skilling up and going for the next tier test.

On hour 18 of killing yellowjackets in Misty Thicket -- even have 2 guildies here wiping the zone with me. Still no luck.

Spent two hours killing wasps in GFay with no stingers dropping. Went back to Misty and lucked out.. after an hour of killing, I got one to drop off a large yellowjacket.

Hang in there, they do drop. Just a little overhunted at the moment, I would say.

I already changed the Stone Beans... but I need a full patch for the changes to go live, and that is not scheduled until 3/14
