Hmm .. I wonder if that means we'll have to restart the whole task or if just that recipe will change in the task we currently have?

Dunno if the latter is even possible, but it sure would be nice.

As I read, any completed part of the quest won't be affected but it may affect part of the quest that you haven't done so if you did but not handed in the items do it now. The recipe that requires stone bean, stinker, other rare item or non existient item hold off doing it until the patch goes live so you don't get stuck with useless items.

The task system "memory" does not track specifically what you have done. Only "have you done element X" so if I change element X, it has no idea... it ONLY knows if you completed that element, not what it was.

Scheduled for 3/14 patch as mentioned.

ironic~ when I made the item with stone beans a few weeks ago, they were 2pp in bazaar (I bought 8 to make the cask)...now you can't even /buyer for 1k.

This is now 1 of my last 2 items needed to finish all 7 master trophies, the other being straight oak treant branch, and i'm sure i'll get that before this one.

Straight oak treant branch is a groundspawn in Elddar Forest--might be foraged too, but as a dwarf paladin I can't say.

Dang, wish I had seen this post before I forked out 10kpp for a stone bean in the bazaar /sigh. Oh well grats to all the more patient brewers out there.
Now if I could just finish that **** tailored bola.... /em waits paitiently for the 14th.

I just had 1 item left to do, (the one with the stone beans) and when I logged in tonight - I don't seem to have the task anymore. Does it go away on its own / on a timer? Or is something broken? I REALLY don't want to have to re-do every single item over again.

I have completed and turned in all but that one recipe - and my quest is still there. Not sure what happened to yours. =(

Based on my own personal experience I couldn't really say that. I seem to have lost everything assosciated with my task.

Per what Ngreth is saying, you will not lose any of your other completed tasks. Do make sure, however, that in addition to completing the brews, you complete the hand-in as well.

I'm not clear, does this mean you can hand in a item you've already made to the task person after the 14th and get the credit? =)

This is jsut an example with fictional data to clarify the point.

Say before patch element 5 is Make 1 Beer. Element 15 is turn in 1 beer.

after the patch element 5 is Make 1 Juice. Element 15 is Turn in 1 Juice.


If before the patch, you make a beer, and do not turn it in, after the patch it will not accept the beer, because that is no longer what it wants, juice. It will NOT unmark your element 5 that you had completed, it just will not accept beer and you will have to in some manner acquire some juice and turn it in (either make it, or buy it from another player)

Seems to be a bug floating around on that or something. It's happened to some people I know on a couple different "Unlimited" tasks.

They've had no luck with GM's getting it resolved.

don't say that. i'm at 62 of 80 Fractured drake Claws for my GM DoN Gnome culturing quest..and that's only the first 1/2 of the quest. i've had the task for months..if it goes away now, i'll be quite angry.
