Stone Beans

Just had one drop in Bloodfields from a Twisted Stoneworker. He was a roamer, but pathing was to East side of the port in bridge. Tagged him from a spot right near bridge pillar.

Tried missions? (no I don't know which ones... jsut soemthing I heard in the chat channel)

I've had some rare smithing and tailoring (including Crushed Diamond Dust)items drop for me in the PoR mission arc from Tak in North Ro. I'm thinking that SoE may have added these to the PoR mission drop tables. Haven't seen a Stone bean yet, though.

Dang, I hope no one encourages that kind of price gouging by buying it. This is the last piece I need to finish my brewing trophy. Finished Master Pottery trophy on Starrsong, Master Tailor, Expert JC and Smithing, Freshman Pottery and Baking trophys on Devas. Would sure like to finish this one up.

I have seen them drop in Thundercrest during the History of the Isle task. I didn't know what they were for at the time and a guild officer was doing the looting so I don't have them myself but I'm positive they dropped there. They dropped from one of the statue mobs inside the building where the Artifacts of Yar'Lir are.

Thundercrest? Pretty sure the stone bean doesn't drop in any DoN zones just a few lower level OoW zones.

A quick update I no longer have the extra bean.

Well, that's where it dropped so I guess it does drop in DoN.

Are you 100% sure about that? There are other items that look the same. Nothing at all anywhere indicates they drop anywhere but in OoW zones.

I bought one of a guildie a few days ago for 1k (somewhat cheaper than the 8k in bazaar), he thinks it dropped in bloodfields, which seems to be the most common place reading these posts.

Prior to that i went and tested the "missions" drop lead, spending several hours in draniks missions, no drops there.

This is ridiculous

I see that 2 people on Tunare have these up for sale at a whopping 45K and 75k!!! How ridiculous is that? The drop rate sucks, you can't find them and then you get ***** in bazaar. I would gladly pay 1k after seeing these prices!

Saw one on Maelin for 20k and vanished rather quickly. I had planned to farm bazaar for cheaply priced beans and hold onto them for friends but I think I'll just tellthem to sit tight and wait for next patch.

Well no wonder there so hard to find,you cant vendor them since merchants wont take them.People that have looted them probally been deleting them cause of that.

Is this changing in the next patch? I've seen no comments that it would be, so I'm still trying to hunt or buy stone beans. Aina beat me to the last one that was available on our server, so I still have no bean.

In the Wasp Stinger thread here, Ngreth posted that he has changed the quest to no longer require stone beans, but it won't go into live until the 3/14 patch.

If I find one between now and then, I'll let you know Nihlia (one of my guildies was able to provide me the mountain tea leaves I needed).

I can wait for a patch. I'm just happy I don't need to spend an eternity still searching for those bloody beans. Now I'll turn my attention to hunting for living granite for my little tinker alt.
