Stone Beans

I have spent untold hours in hallows/sewers/catacombs signet hunting for myself and friend for anguish. I have yet to see one drop in those instances. If this is any help at all. Will keep my eyes pealed though.

I'm one of those obsessive types who always leaves logs on, and archives them monthly(or when I remember). So I can definitively say I have never seen stone beans looted. I have seen exactly 4 references to them. Three of them were people asking various channels what they were for, since they had never seen them before. And the final one was someone /auccing WTS last month (gah!).
I did a TON of farming of the Dranik's Hollows expeditions when OOW came out, so they definitely don't drop commonly there. Not so many xp/farming sessions in NC, Bloodfields, or HS though. If there are any other compulsive /loggers out there I urge you to check your logs to see if you have seen them.

Amazing what you'll find in your recycle bin if you never empty it. Restored and searched my logs back through January 2004. No stone beans anywhere in them other than since this quest went live with people /oocing to buy them. I keep /logging on at all times.

Got mine in bazaar for 10k, but I had a guildie say he got his in NC after 3 hours of killing stuff there. I know it's not the best data, but at least it's confirmed it drops there.

I found one on an alt. Where I had tucked it away back when I had no idea what it was for.

Unfortunantly the combine exploded and made a mess inside the brew barrel.

On the up side, Salvage kicked in and saved three items!
On the down side it was the barley, malt and water. /sigh.


I wish I remembered where I got that bean from.

I had one ... once ... from NC. Sold it to a vendor or destroyed it.


My group has been in NC for well over four hours. Not one single stone beans has dropped

I think the drop rate is ridiculously low. One of the things I noticed on the EQRankings sort of folks with the beans on them was that none of them (on Druzzil, at least) had been recently updated. If you look at the Magelo's - most of these profiles were updated late spring and early summer of 2005. I hate having a bottle-neck like this build up. I know that all the brewers in my guild, my cleric included, are stuck at this point.

6 hours killing Bloodfields; no drop. 4 hours killing Nobels' Causway; no drop. No appearance of stone beans in my loot logs for groups and raids nor in my chat logs (which are always on) going back to January, 2005; except people advertising to buy it since PoR went live.

Im fed up with looking for it and just moving on until the drop rate is evaluated and fixed or a reliable source is discovered.

I got rather lucky on the stone bean but with a twist.

Someone had one after I /ooced for it but I had to pay through my nose, 1k plats

Not 3 minutes later my guildie who was in Bloodfield sent tell to me she found one for me. 1k down the drain Oh well I have an extra stone bean and finished my brewing trophy.

Checked my logs, had one drop off a dragorn Adjunct in Bloodfields back in march '05. My log also showed that a vendor would not give me anything for it. So they won't be had on merchants, only off mobs and bazaar traders.

This is now 1 of my last 2 items needed to finish all 7 master trophies, the other being straight oak treant branch, and i'm sure i'll get that before this one.
