Abysmal wins for convenience. Two vendors that stock everything you need next to the brew barrel, almost never anyone around either. I like it nice and quiet as opposed to PoK

I did most of mine in Thurgadin since it was usually deserted. On the rare occasions that there was competition for the 1 brew barrel I would just go to Cabilis. I did 200-250 a couple hours at a time over thanksgiving weekend 2002 before some of the other options were available.

Halas is almost always dead, its nice and quiet, and as previously stated 3 vendors in the same building with all the stuff you could possibly need to go from 0-248 in one sitting. Its a beautiful thing .

Even as a woodelf, Neriak was the best spot I found. If you ever did the faction work there (turning in wine to the guy in the library), you can do it there.

All items and the brew barrels are just steps away from each other, but it also was the emptiest spot for doing it, I never ran into anyone else using the brew barrel there.

As a gnome I made mine in the Ak'Anon Bar just across the hall from the bank. Everything sold by the clockwork barman except the water flasks which I had to leave the bar for and visit one of the merchants next to the clock.

                MHB Skillups Flattened?

I know that one of the things they talked about doing is relating skillup likelihood to difficulty of the recipe. I was attempting to skillup on MHBs in Abyssmal yesterday...I have a 215 skill, a Geerlock and Wisdom at 416 and got ZERO skillups after some 80 combines, though my success rate was 95% or better.

Any idea if this is just an RNG artifact, a coded blivit in the progression or a nerfing of MHB skillups?

I doubt it. I can't say either way, as it was almost two years ago that I skilled up on these in Shadowhaven, but I know that for some reason, I had an insanely strange RNG run with these. I seemed to average about 1 skill every 40-60 combines. They've always seemed to have a bad skillgain rate to me. But atleast they are cheap and rather easy to make.

The first time I skilled up on these back on FV server (what, almost 2 years ago now) I had a run of 300....yes, I said 300....combines with no skill up. I almost gave up. But, immediately after that, I had 10 skillups in 3 stacks *shrugs*. What can I say, sometimes the RNG hates us.

I did all the MHB's in Abysmal. Only 2 npc needed and right next to brew barrel so easy to get restocked. Right now I'm stuck in what has to be a personal hell level of 242. No skillup after about 400 combines, may skip MHB's for the remaining 6 levels and do something else a bit higher.

                        Honorable mention to Shar Vahl.

All Supplies in zone - all races welcome - no quest required to be able to buy supplies.

Handy for Iksar on giant faction without GoD.

One thing to note, the quest npc that roams through that area is on the de warrior faction, which the wine doesn't help with.. however, he's only level 8-10 i believe.. so you do need a few levels before he won't agro you. I never had him agro after level 20 with my ranger.

mncat - MHB is mino hero brew, trivials 252? or so. (traumatic amnesia, yes i did mine before the new ui)
