taelosian Mountain tea

The Mountain Tea leaves drop in KT + zones. I have seen them in KodTaz, Yxtta, Uqua, Ikkinz. Thats as far as I have personally been. They do not drop in zones prior to KodTaz. They drop randomly off any mob in those following zones. I do not have a forrager KT flagged but I would safely assume they can be forraged as well (rarely).

The reason for doing the combine yourself is you can, eventually, get 3 back from a combine.

I can do this for Tea, Ore and Nihilite. It takes a good few hundred combines but I get a stack of 2 tea plus possibly a third.

The reason the source for Taelosian Mountain Tea is not listed is because it is crafted. The recipe is listed. As are the potential sources for Taelosian Mountain Tea Leaves and the quest you need to do to learn how to convert the leaves to tea.

I get 3 mountain tea's back for every leaf always, so it isn't broken. Havent a clue how many 100's of the lesser tea conversions it took to get there though, i just did a few stacks at a time when i had them.

Did anyone else suffer a pang of dismay when they found SoE had crafted new recipes with the release of Dragons of Norrath, using those taelosian mountain tea LEAVES and taelosian tea LEAVES we've been patiently converting to tea, and not the tea itself?

I have been working on this, and the other conversions, and have the noticed the following progression.

Level 1:
Combine, get 1 Tea returned.

Level 2:
Combine, get 1 Tea returned, then occassionally get 1 Tea as a seperate item increasing in likely hood as skill goes up.

Level 3 (Where I am at currently).
Combine, get 2 Tea returned (stacked). Always.

Level 4 (Projected)
Combine, get 2 Tea returned then 1 Tea as seperate item as Level 2.

Bah, sorry, I meant the source for the Taelosian Mountain Tea LEAVES.
I know it drops from critters in the higher level GoD zones, was hoping for a critter name or if it dropped in one zone more often than others.

They drop off trash in qvic and the zones mentioned earlier by Shadusanator, I have never foraged any in those zones, but i am a bard so fail on forage most times.
