Ok, here's the thing. I don't forage. I do bake. Or did. Last year, around September, not sure exactly when, but close to September, I skilled up from 188 to 200 on Misty Thicket Picnics. It was a lot of combines, and a lot of failures, but all the subrecipies make crazy amounts of goods, and I got 1-2 successes (yield 4) off each stack of attempts, with an occasional stack of no success.
So, I had always kept five stacks of food, usually fish rolls, and five stacks of drinks, usually fizzlecutter's, in one bag. I replaced my fish rolls with 5 stacks of picnics and gave the rest away, and later on I got one stack from a guildy who was skilling up, so a total of six stacks. I'll forcefeed occasionally, like if something drops a chunk of meat, but I don't keep food on a regular basis to force feed. I have Innate Metabolism 3.
That was Septemberish (Coulda been august, coulda been october. It's been a while). I'm down to one stack now.
So, for those who can't forage, is it really worth the added effort to keep a supply of force-feeding food?
