Well, this last weekend i just cranked out my first 60 HMP combines, in thoose 60 combines I said forget this crap, I may be succeeding about 60 to 90% of the time, but it took me litteraly hours to prepare the 240 fillets needed for thoose 60 combines, thats not inlcuding the subcombines per subcombine. I think i will just use the MTP materials i have, Friend is a high enough brewer to crank some out for me, and can also smith the bonings and do the final combines on Baskets for me. Also i did price analysis on the materials needed, and since i can forage, i will end up spending less money doing picnic. i think it costs me aobut 1pp per combine on picnics, and more like 2 or 3 pp per HMP combine. MTPs should also save my wrist slightly since the minimum yield in on the marmalades which produce 6, which in turn makes 12 sandwiches each. Any body have any input on this, current skill is still 191.

My druid, whom I’m not currently playing so his baking skill has not gone up in some time, has hit the trivial point for Halas Pies. I have not yet started work on the picnics. So I was going to give some suggestions on pies. But since you are no longer planning to bake pies, as they really are a royal pain, I don’t know that I can be much help. But I make a couple of suggestions.

For brownie meat, head over to Steamfont Mountains, just outside the entrance to the minotaur caves. Start killing everything in sight. By doing so you’ll get a few brownies to spawn. At your level everything in the area should be green to you. And I wouldn’t worry too much about stealing mobs from any low level characters in the area. When I did this the other day I couldn’t believe the number of mobs that spawned. There was another group in the area killing and we didn’t even come close to killing everything off.

And for eggs, one of the best places to go is Lavastorm Mountains. The basilisks, which will again be green to you, drop eggs that each make several dough. Just track them and smack them. You’ll soon have all the eggs you’ll need.

I would also suggest hunting in Jaggedpine if the lag isn’t too bad for you. At your level fear kiting griffs is great experience. You can forage while you hunt and use the griffon meat to supplement you skill ups. And when you gain a few levels the anacondas make good fear targets as well. And you can again use their meat to supplement your baking skill. Jaggedpine is one of the best zones in the game for rangers and druids once they hit their low to mid forties.

But most of all just don’t give up. Odds are you’ll hit one or more long stretches of combines without any skill ups. I’ve gone well over 200 combines that way in several different skills. It just happens sometimes. Just work your way through it and the points will eventually come.

      Best of luck.
