Lilosh, if it is the one that ends up in that amulet each time that is the one I was doing.

The hits for the other 3 are not as big as traders of the haven, not even close.

Apprehensive to "Your faction could not possibly get any better" on traders of the Haven in less than 10 trips.

Dubious to Apprehensive on the others in that time, and a few more for me to get to indifferent on the other 3. I did it 1 more time to get firmly into indifferent, but could do it all day to get to amiable.... no clue how long max ally to all 4 would take.

It's part of the creed; "Always keep them guessing" Besides, I didn't want to insult your inteligence by giving you the simple things you could look up or read from the Magistrate's text...

      (Well it SOUNDS good <smirk>)

I did some of the other quests early on and some of them I did multiple times so I have no idea what that did for my faction before I started this round. I just got tired of having to sneak to get some of the merchants to sell to me or forgetting to swap out the amulet for my WIS gear necklace before I started clicking.

Never give too much away, I like that.

Yes, I just scrolled up and read the text when i thought I was near the guy you were describing in the post, it did work with only fungus grove giving me a bit of a challenge.

I did it enough to not need the necklace, or to ever do it again. Unless you need ally faction with House of Stout or what have you for something, hehe.

P.S. Quick question, that "You have resisted something Root spell" message happened 1-3 times everytime I ran through Echo Caverns... is that an actual spell, is it a trap, and can it land? Literally 30-40 times resisted, not one landing, and my MR was only at 75-80 (i wasn't even self buffed). Just wondering if I can run a newbie through there, or if that 'root' spell has a damage component to it.

The plant things in Echo cavern can be a bit deadly if you get too close.

Hanging from the ceiling in the waterway. They kinda root you, and suck your hp away.

My level 1 characters have died from them. They arent much of a threat.

It's a "trap" since it's environment rather than a MOB. Your level protected rather than your MR. The green and yellow tentacled things that pulse and flail a bit are kinda like the blood-vines in D&D; they snare (root by EQ terms) you and drain HP away when you are trapped. As Lilosh attested; yes they CAN kill and (unless you are on specific servers) the death can cause exp loss. I've never had one try to get me but the first time I heard about it my main was ~ level 12 so I stayed WELL clear of them and did the second time just for "good measure".

              Hehehe,

So having the map up and levitating going through the ones on the roof was a bad idea?

The map was probably not a bad idea but the levitation might have been. <snicker>

Bad idea or no, I don't want callouses...

I'd certainly ruin my pedicure if I had to touch the ground, O'kiels Levitivity owns .

                    HMP

OK, so you did how many? A little under 70 combines? Man these things hurt. Half a week ago I did 140 combines myself. Got a rythm going and it was sweet. I went from 193 to 197, and sold each stack for 60pp each. The stuff sold in two days, and I had well over 20 stacks in the bank. But these things are really painful. I had c3, and all my int gear to bring me to 250, but I still only got 3 points. Keep in mind that Halas Meat Pies take 36 mouse clicks to make 1 pie. I also calculated the Misty Thicket Picnic, which goes for about 24 to 26/mouse click. Enjoy! I'm switching to mushrooms LOL.

hello all, the best place to make halas meat pies is in HALAS
Agreed! After all it's HALAS 10lb Meat Pie! Not Shadow Haven pie! Of course it must be done in Halas

                      Yes, I know I'm silly

I also prefer to forage for mushrooms in a dungeon like Echo Caverns... humid and full of shrooms. What better place can there be?
I mean crawling around to find mushrooms in a town like Shadow Haven. tsk tsk
