More specifically; the in area past the windmills near the minotaur cave. You can also find some (rarely) in Fay but consider yourself lucky if you find more than 2 in a single hour in GFay.Morani

If you can track, there are 3 brownies that spawns in Gfay. They are not common and it takes a bit for the 3 to re spawn but usually I bring my druid to track and kill them then go to Lfay to forage for rare stuff then come back for more. Warning, these brownies do not drop parts all the time so you may have to kill a few to get the parts.

There is one Brownie that spawns near the g.fay and Butcher block zone, that I have found.
I have not had any luck in finding more in g.fay myself. And I have no idea on the respawn time of the brownies in g.fay. I gave up after killing the one... and not being able to locate any more on track.

I recently helped a druid friend camp the brownies in LFay for her epic -- she needed the corrupted brownie. It turns out that the wandering brownies in LFay (there are only three that we could find) all spawn exactly at loc 0,0. They're on a 12-15 minute timer. If you can get a tracker to help you hunt the wanderers down when you first zone in, all you need to do is sit at that spot and clobber them as they pop.
In about 12-15 brownie kills while doing her camp, we got 2-3 brownie parts. So I'd estimate one part per two cycles.
I have no clue if the brownie merchants and guards drop parts as well.Sir KyrosKrane Sylvanblade

I used Misty thicket as my bank for a long time once I got the self only port. I killed Nillipuss every time I was in the zone. He doesn't spawn often, but I have gotten brownie parts EVERY time I've killed him. Does anyone know how fast/slow he spawns?Kazeric Darkmoon

Yes, the merchants just poof. Inside the compound there is a Farmer, and 3 others gathered around a fire you can kill. All are low low level, and can drop brownie parts, and morning dew.
There are also spiderlings (2), and can drop up to 8 silks at a time. They are on a 6 min timer (ish). Its a good source of spiderling silks as well I found.

Also....
In Lesser Fay you can kill the Brownie Outcasts that spawn occasionally near the Pixie Tower. They are used for the Ranger Ivy Leggings quest and drop 1 of 6 named arrows, but they ALSO drop Brownie Parts each and every time. If none are up when you visit the area, simply kill all the Pixe Tricksters and Pranksters in the area to get them to spawn (they are on the same spawn table). However, DON'T kill the Pixie Jongleurs though. They are "good" pixies and on many friendly factions. hehe

The brownie compound is on a 20 minute timer.
Cos I normally get between 15 and 18 parts an hour down there. If they don't drop their brains or legs instead of those juicy parts.
I hate the brownies in Steamforn, cos on a sliding scale of effort over reward, they rank as a 1 out of 10.

If you're taking on the brownie outcasts in LFay and one of the arrows drop, please let it be know (unless you are collecting them yourself). Any poor-sot of a ranger attempting the leggings quest will be HAPPY to know about it; that is the HARDEST piece of armor to gather the pieces for.

I logged in my level 9 froggie yesterday, who is leveling in Misty. While I was running around Rivervale I was happy to see that the friendly neighborhood brownie was up. So I logged out my froggie, the brownie was red to him, and brought in my druid. I killed him easily enough, but nasty brownie got the last laugh. Instead of dropping a brownie part he dropped his brain. I wonder if I could fry that up with some eggs and spices.

Brownies iin the Mino cave area of steamfont are a moderately rare spawn. I needed 15 parts for my Picnic run, so i spent a good time there shooting everything in sight (one shotting everything 85% of the time, elemental bow, eq/am3) picking up iron oxide from elementals and checking track for brownies. They are a kinda rare spawn. Usually had to kill 30-40 or so mobs before a brownie would spawn. Very fast respawn tmer tho, couldnt keep everything dead fast enough. =)

those brownie...mountain brownies. hard to see if your a big barb shaman. but bear form helps a little. not sure if this will help anyone else or start another skill or two. While hunting brownies last week, i gathered a stack in few hours, in doing so got two stacks of wirls and few half stacks of low level jewlery gems. so i go to the gnomes city (cute lil folks...gnome kabobs) and sell the yard trash that i got from hunting mountain brownies. since i was there in city area, i bought jewler bag and some silver bars. one thing lead to anther and i was soon doing jewlery.
what i am trying to say or pass on info is, while hunting mountain brownies in Steamfront you can get some side items on way if you dont mind looting them. (still cant find an gnome parts off evil gnomes
kill everything near the mino cave and loot your heart out. your smiths will love you, your jewlers will kiss you, your gnomes will run away from you :P gnome kabobs mmmmmmmmmmmmmm. going back this week for more. running low on chocolates. /burp
