Yeah, I went to ToB this morning and fished for Pods of Blood.
Then bugged my favorite ranger to forage some for me. (Thanks Zaborus!)

When he heard I was trying to fish for water... there was some amount of teasing that I had to endure. I *didn't* know it was a drink!! Ok, granted... trying to fish for a liquid was still not my brightest moment. *blush* I tried to come up with some clever explanation about attaching a canning jar to the fish hook, but I don't think I'm going to get out of this one.

Anyway, the Pod of Blood is not marked with a tradeskill flag either but as soon as I finish my raiding tonight, I'll be doing a bunch of combines with it and will let you know my results.

Ok, I tried these combines using Pod of Blood as the [blood]:

[blood] + lard + cream + butter in mixing bowl
[blood] + lard + cream + butter in tanaan oven
[blood] + lard + cream + butter + onion + ground pepper + sausage casing + coarse salt + fennel in taanan oven

I also tried replacing the fennel with spices.
I also tried doing a sub-combine with everything but the sausage casing.

Still no go.

Then I tried replacing the coarse salt with rock salt.

*BLINK* *BLINK* DID I? I DID! I JUST FOUND IT!
HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY ASHWITH!

Here's the final recipe. It's pretty straightforward actually. No special sub-combines! Hurrah!

Butter + Cream + Ground Pepper + Lard + Onion + Pod of Blood + Rock Salt + Spices + Sausage Casing in Tanaan Oven

I'll get this into the database tomorrow, but I wanted to post it here first for everyone who has been following this thread!

Thank you to everyone who had input -- it was really nice to be able to chat about this endlessly and I definitely wouldn't have been able to make it without everyone's input. (*grins* Pods of blood... who'd have thunk it?)

Butter + Cream + Ground Pepper + Lard + Onion + Pod of Blood + Rock Salt + Spices (2) + Sausage Casing in Oven = Spiced Blood Sausage

Pod of Blood is an item that previously had zero value beyond what a vendor paid (if anything). It will take some time for word of it's value to filter through the player community, but when it does, people will start bazaaring it instead of vendoring it.

perhaps im misreading the recipie, but after trying every combination of beans and sausage with casks and without with bottle(s) etc nothing is working could we get a hint maybe?
