Drake Intestines

Does anyone else have a problem getting this to drop? It's sad really when I have a stack of sea dragon steaks and 20 treant hearts, etc. all ready to go, but I have 1 drake intestines in 3 continous days of camping stillmoon. I am clearing every drake model in Stillmoon (non-instanced), but I'm getting diddly. I thought it would be the meat for the sausage that would be my bottleneck - I had no idea that it would be the stupid casings. Is there any other place where these can drop?

P.S. There have been 10 casings for sale for the past 4 days on Maelin, all by the same vendor, and all for 10k each. I haven't seen any others at all.

10? I've only seen 4 on trader whenever I checked.

Bear in mind when something new is discovered with great stats (like bristlebane's challenge or the tradeskill quest), the price for rare item will be insanely high for about the first month then start to drop as supply becomes more available and fewer people trying for it. I'd wanger that BC would take a while longer though due to number of rare items but eventually the drake intestine or sausage casting will come down.

regret passing up 8 intestines on a vendor 2 months ago didn't think it'd be worth anything in the future since they weren't worth anything in bazaar back then feel free to kick me when you see me online.

I don't mind the price really since I know people are trying to make a buck. What gets me is the rareity of the component when you wouldn't think that it would be rare. You would think meat would be the rare part.

20 treant hearts?!!! Off the named in Arcstone? I've killed him approx 5 times recently with no hearts. I've made one Bristlebane's Challenge so far using 2 hearts that guild leader gave me a long time ago and one that I found in bazaar at 3am in the morning my time for 5p or something ridiculously cheap. Since then, no luck on the hearts...

On the other hand, I have plenty of livers, intestines, wheat, sea dragon meat, etc.

The hearts drop off of treants in The Elddar Forest. That is where I farmed those.

I have been getting them in Lavaspinners trying to farm Nest Drake Meat. I have having no luck on the meat for some reason

Nest Drake Meat and Drake Intestines drop more often in Instanced Missions more often than non-instanced zones.

I've been doing some creator missions this week for my wood elf GM symbol quest. Although they aren't listed to drop in the thundercrest isle missions I looted 2 drake intestines (and 3 nest drake meats) during 3 missions.
Buyer mode also worked wonders for me on them, had no clue what they were worth so I offered 100pp each for them since I hadn't seen m for sale before and I actually bought a couple at that price the same night.
Guess I got really lucky on those....

Nest Drake Meat and Drake Intestines drop more often in Instanced Missions more often than non-instanced zones.

Maybe I am just lucky or something, but I find that I get alot more in Lavaspinners then in any other zone, instanced or not. It might be that I can go thru the mobs alot easier in Lavaspinners then the other zones, but I dont think that its that much of a difference.

Livers are easily found off spiked turtles that ropam in natimbi. Also check the 2 vendors there I found 4 turepta livers once. Back to the subject, sausage casting are hitting 3k now on maelin bazaar so price on the not so rare stuff is coming down.

I did notice that too Aam. After I read these posts, I began to slaughter in Lavaspinners (since I detest Stillmoon and it's **** healing statues). Last night in only 1 hour I was able to get 7 nest drake meats as well as 2 intestines. I'm glad people gave the suggestions they did and I did not give into temptation and buy those casings for 10k each !

Now I'm only a bunch of livers away from making a stack of these things (assuming no failures).

Which treants were you killing? Only time I have ever seen the hearts drop were off the named in Eldarr and one off a low level one in Takish. Bought all my others.
