Hidden Baking Recipie in PoR

Honestly, making sea dragon meat or sea dragon steaks no drop will only hurt people who are trying to get the recipe done. What you will end up doing is totally eliminating the drop from Kelorek'dar. Why? Because he was regularly farmed BEFORE the Bristlebane's Challenge was introduced. He will continue to be regularly farmed, and people aren't going to care if it means that the sea dragon meat will end up going to waste. Or worse yet, you'll see it advertised in PoK as, "Sea Dragon Meat for Sale {enter some ridiculous asking price here}, must be able to come loot now!!"

Further, consider Lord Koi'doken. He's not a mob that is easily to solo or duo. That means that at LEAST a high end group, or maybe even a small raid, will need to be gathered to go after him. One of the things which will make that worth it is if the sea dragon meat AND the sea dragon steaks ARE tradeable. That's a LOT of work for a group to go through to try to get ONE person hooked up. However, it's a lot MORE rewarding (assuming the combine to change the meat into the steaks isn't failed) to get FIVE people hooked up with sea dragon steaks.

Keeping the sea dragon meat and steaks tradeable is going to be far better in the long run.

Become one of the NEW campers. If you really want to get the meat and don't want to pay for it, then take the time and camp it.

Heck, I was mad as all get out when Aldier was getting Sea Dragon Meat and taunting me with it so I camped his dragon and got the meat. Of course, he hates me now but we still have fun with it. I think.

I think what some people really want is for Ngreth to just log in and hand them a few stacks of sandwiches because they really don't feel like making the effort to do it themselves.

The point, no matter how you spin it, comes down to priorities. On one hand you {post} about not being able to get the meat to finish the Challenge and on the other hand you say it's not important that you gain an additional 75 hp. When I first saw BPP, I did everything in my power to do what I had to do to make them. The same thing happened when I heard about the hidden recipe quest. I took the time to do what it takes and I am reaping the rewards.

Address legitimate issues if you see them but beating this dead horse is not going to get you any Horse Meat or, in this case, Sea Dragon Meat.

And YOU (and others) have continually answered me by posting the opposite opinion. Now you have resorted to personal attacks and name calling? Just because YOU like it the way it is doesn't make it right or make your opinion any more valuable than mine. You are correct that I have posted several times on this matter, but if you re-read the latter ones, they have been in response to people like you who didn't seem to be able to grasp my point the first time around.

Actually, I came back here to add a retraction to my last post because I had thought about it again and realized making it no drop would probably make maters worse. I see others have already posted that, so I guess I don't need to.

You can get the same point across without taking the holier-than-thou attitude and belittling other people and their opinion. This board has always been very good about staying away from personal attacks. I'd hate to see otherwise.

I said no changes to the RECIPE... said nothing about the item.

And does anyone know offhand when the next scheduled patch is? I cannot get to the EQ Live Forums from this location.
